A bit hard to believe, but a dandy story nonetheless

Warning: Spoilers
The film begins with a guy running from the police. He just committed a robbery and has been shot, so he takes shelter in a garage. However, once inside, he discovers a girl (about age 11) hiding there. Although you'd expect her to either turn him in or him to kill her, she agrees to help him hide. Later, you realize that this girl and her mother are severely abused by a live-in boyfriend. Before the robber leaves, the girl asks him to help--to put a stop to the abusive man. He refuses but later agrees, as the violence is bad and reminds him of his own childhood. So, instead of hopping a ride with a waiting friend, he takes a few minutes to take care of the problem once and for all. However, things don't go exactly as planned.

The film is good entertainment and is very interesting. However, you also must admit that the situation is pretty tough to believe. After all, a young girl bonding so quickly with a bleeding armed robber is pretty far-fetched. Thankfully, good acting and direction somehow make it all seem possible.
