Good start to final season

Warning: Spoilers
Moira's vocabulary seems a bit more advanced than usual in this episode. Also, very convenient for the writers that Alexis' made a mistake on her flight booking and won't be leaving for another month. In addition, Moira's show isn't cancelled after all so all the "cliffhangers" from the previous season are void. I believe this season will focus on David and Noah's wedding, which I really look forward to.

Another great start to a fabulous show

I love this show and so sad this is the last season. It has made me laugh, cry and think. I'm always moved by the characters, the story lines and the subtle messages of love, acceptance and family that is the heart of this series. Long May it last in the hearts of all of us fans who love it.

Perfect way to start a season
samratsingraur10 November 2020
What a wonderful episode to start the final season. David, Patrick, Stevie and Alexis planning for the wedding venue and going to see the place which was surprisingly radient and so beautiful. It was like the perfect place to get married. Didn't look like a slow start, but a smart and fresh episode to watch. I loved the feel good vibes in the episode. Dan and Eugene could have made 1 or 2 more seasons though keeping in minds it's good ratings.

Post Cabaret Nuttiness

The beginning of the final season has Alexis still torn about heading off to the Galapagos. Ted has gone ahead and Alexis is to follow him. But there are complications. She is riding with David and Patrick as they attempt to pick a wedding venue (which is beautiful but incredibly expensive). Then Alexis realizes a major error. Actually Stevie notices it. Moira is hugely depressed and is hiding in a closet. Her "Crows" movie has been shelved. Johnny drags her out and they go on a picnic but he pays a price for this. It's another masterful segment. I wish there were going to be ten seasons.

Wedding Venue, Flight

Warning: Spoilers
It is the day after the Cabaret performance. Moira is hiding in the closet again when the smoke alarm goes off and Roland comes in to pull her out. She yells desperately for "her girls" - her wigs - to Roland to fetch.

Alexis joins the wedding venue party so she can have a ride to the airport after. They go to Elmdale Manor, a fancy building with shaped hedges. Clive, the representative, comes out with champagne and mistakenly assumes the couple is Patrick and Stevie. David clears things up and Clive assumes Alexis and Stevie are a couple. Stevie didn't realize she still has her makeup on from last night.

They go to the back and the view is jaw-dropping beautiful. It looks like something in Paris. They go inside the manor and Clive shows them their prices - gold, silver, bronze. David asks if there is something below bronze but no there is not. Patrick asks why didn't he look at the prices ahead of time but David says they don't do advanced pricing.

Alexis and Stevie talk outside and Alexis is trying to check in. Stevie takes her phone and sees an issue - the date comes first before the month so Alexis is a month early for her trip.

Alexis offers to postpone her trip for a month so they can take the Sunday discount venue. David feels something is up and Alexis admits she read the date wrong. Suddenly we hear an awful sound like bleating animals ready to be killed for meat. Clive says today is Sunday and this is the reason why they have their Sunday discount.

Back at the motel the family eat salad and have a nice outdoor meal. Patrick suggests to David they have a backyard wedding at the motel.
