Sex & Nudity

  • Bear has to pee in order to not suffer too hard from the hot weather.
  • Bear cuts his underwear, nothing explicit.

Violence & Gore

  • Most of the violence is bloody in this series.
  • Bear can "die" and injure himself in many ways, some lead to Bear falling down a steep drop, getting malaria from dangerous species and risking a faint. Injury detail is also shown in heavy detail.
  • Bear Grylls can throw up a few times. The throwing up is fake, but the description of pain is absolutely strong.

Profanity

  • Damn and crap are used.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Bear delivers medicine to a hospital in one episode.
  • Bear mentions heavy poison related malaria of some dangerous animals.
  • Other than anything revolving animal poison, nothing of consumption.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some of Bear's choices can lead to some frightening scenarios of Bear falling down and hurting or not hurting himself, eating gross things while making a face of disgust, and many intense animal action.
  • As far as the series goes, it is nowhere near as bad as Man VS Wild was.
  • Most people shouldn't be too frightened by the wrong choice scenarios or ambience in general, as Bear never really dies and barely gets hurt in a bad way.
  • Bear sometimes eats gross and very nasty squishy foods that have him in a face of disgust, this may be frightening for some people, but it's nowhere near as bad as Man VS Wild.
  • Down below, you'll find a short text of what you will see of scariness in the 8 episodes of season 1. ( Beware: At the time of writing, i have not finished the series ).
  • Episode 1: The ambience of the episode is set in a very creppy and pretty dangerous jungle, Bear must fight some animals, survive a few dangerous tasks like a heavy turbine and get his mission done safe and sound. This episode some very dangerous acts and many intense and with many quick cuts, though it's not the scariest thing ever. 8/10
  • Episode 2: You must avoid a jaguar, other than that, nothing much. 3/10
  • Episode 3: Bear can almost die while sliding and falling into a frozen lake. Nothing too scary after that. 2/10
  • Episode 4: The tamest and least intense episode of the series. 0/10.
  • Episode5: Many claustrophobic scenarios of really intense height in the canyon, allucinations of hot weather, a very bad injury and all and all a quite intense ambience. 9/10
  • Episode 6, nothing too bad, apart from some intense animal scenarios. 3/10
  • Episode 7: Many intense claustrophobic scenarios, including a fight and a chase with a wolf. 10/10.
  • Episode 8: Bear can enter a mine, other than that, nothing much. 1/10.
