What was left out of this episode? It's as if a ten-minute segment was missing before the final five minutes. The story went from the fourth murder to Neve Campbell's character already dead. The only clue was a flashback in Patricia Arquette's discovery of the phone/recorder. From there the story then ended abruptly as if they had run out of time. This story line was padded with the husband's problems at work with his boss, his lawyer and his home life. The reactions of the child characters seemed contrived in comparison with the usual interaction in the family. It's hard to see where the show is going now that the medium's cover has been blown.
