kakits-574743 April 2019
I like Kevin Hart and I really want to love this show. But compare this to Dave Chapelle's shows and dare I say Louie CK's. This is not as funny as I first saw 'laugh at my pain'. It has good moments though. So a big meh~

Kevin Hart: Irresponsible
ComedyFan201017 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Kevin Hart is incredibly funny. This is probably not his best stand up but still very good. All this people saying that they gave up after 10 minutes missed out. The beginning isn't bad, but it gets better and better. When he gets to the story with the great baby I already could not stop laughing. His jokes about house robbery, Japan trip and skiing vacation were also highlights for me. He is also great at presenting his jokes. Really very talented, love him as a comedian.

The scene is good.

It seems that sexual jokes are somehow more common in such shows. This show was also quite a lot. He tells the stories well, but I can't say I laughed a lot. But if I say unsuccessful, I would have lost the right.

It was actually good!
vinitneo3 April 2019
I watched the trailer for this Netflix special and thought it was going to be the same old thing and I wouldn't enjoy it but it was actually good, the material was new and it all came together nicely in the end.

The Laughs are few, the shrieks are many.
MrSelfPaid3 April 2019
While this special isn't a flop in terms of comedic material, it's still Kevin Hart's worst comedy special ever. The jokes are repetitive and quite boring punctuated by his trademarked screams which are unwelcome and sometimes cringe-worthy.

My review is negative because I know Kevin Hart can do much better. It's like he doesn't put much effort nowadays into his stand up routine and hands over joke writing duties to friends or friends of friends. My two cents: Not a bad stand up, but definitely not Kevin Hart's best.

It was a good show. Ignore the bad reviews. Give it a try. I loved it and i think you will love it too. In only one point i thought it was forced but in the end he killed it too. So please give it a try you will love it too.

Hart Fell Short
Magnolia_Green2 April 2019
....le sigh.... Disappointing. It had its funny moments. But overall, I felt like he was trying too hard. Kevin's first two comedy specials were the funnies things I'd seen in a long time. And then something changed. His writing, delivery, appreciation, approach....something changed! I remember 80% of the jokes from Seriously Funny and Laugh At My Pain. I know one joke from What Now. And this show...I'll remember bits and pieces of the genius baby situation. It was funny. But not gut busting killing over funny. I feel like the crowd was more laughing because it's Kevin Hart...more so than because the material was really funny. He's a great actor for the roles (SAME DAMN ROLE) he plays. Being that they are all the same. But his comedy has fallen off. The jokes about his family and addressing his public infidelities felt more...more cringe worthy than comedy. I wouldn't watch it again.

Exactly

Warning: Spoilers
In London, Kevin Hart pokes fun at himself, his family and friends. He talks about his dogs, game night, Japan, and Seal in Aspen. He should have walked off stage with Seal playing rather than thug music. He has trouble completing a sentence without the F-word. Some of the bits didn't work, like his trip to Japan.

Cringe not funny forced jokes
rachelsimpson-335984 April 2019
Turned it off after 10 mins. Didn't hear many laughs his jokes were cringe worthy and try too hard. His stage voice is very annoying (you know the one where he shrieks and doesn't take a breath) next....

nezbitkn222 November 2019
Not his best to be honest and I'm a huge fan of his. He cracks up telling his "favourite joke" which is isn't really that funny. It's a shame but still much love for him and looking forward to his next work whether in film or stand up.

Live and movie
joelferguson982 April 2019
I was privileged to watch it live and I cried for 60% of it because he was so funny. The many parts where he carries on the joke got me in creases. Watching on the Netflix and not in person doesn't give the same effect but it's still hilarious the second time round which shows just how much of a comedic rockstar Kevin Hart is! Definitely worth the watch!

cody-wangler3 April 2019
Don't like how he did it for the camera while everyone paid to be there. Funny when he paid no attention to the camera (Netflix paid). Now he has the same moves doing high voice and high crying sounds (OKAY, EHHH,OKAY)

Painful to watch
adrian-fulneczek3 April 2019
I'm a big stand up fan. I like some things about Kevin Hart's personality, I loved his book. I like him in some TV interviews when he's calm and collected. He can talk smart, be witty.

That's when he's funny.

This special is not of of these occasions. It's the Hart that's screaming at a low pitch, sweating, yelling, doing too much. Telling us how every story he tells is a "real story".

Sorry, Kev. I'm a fan of your grind, but seeing you do this... It's really painful to watch.

Don't read the bad reviews before you watch it as it's like watching with a friend who's not laughing.
marcboyce2 September 2019
I laughed to the point of not being able to breathe at several moments and watch a lot of stand up which fails to have me laughing like I did for this, so I have absolutely no idea what these bad reviews are about. He most definitely still has it!!!

Worse than What now?
petros118883 April 2019
These last two specials are definitely not up to par with his previous work. It seems like he's trying too hard. It had a few good jokes but nothing crazy like his earlier stuff. One thing I hate is that he keeps using this high pitch "aaaah" scream a lot, which I don't find funny at all. I had trouble watching the whole hour because his screaming made my head hurt. He also dragged some jokes for too long in my opinion. If you're a fan of his, watch it but you'll be dissapointed. If you're not, dont even bother

Damn was it good
dadomawad-200872 January 2022
No idea why some people didn't enjoy it. The way he tells jokes by building them up is just fantastic. Laughed loudly at a lot of points, which is exactly what I want. I don't want to be having small laughs every 2 seconds. And yeah, his screaming was a bit cringy. But other than that, if you're looking for a standup to laugh and have a good time, this is it.

He's not as good as he used to be. This comedy special was GARBAGE. Nothing new, and poorly delivered.

I don't get it, maybe it's just me.
slydude075 April 2019
I was immediately bewildered at the size of the audience. THAT MANY people buy tickets and show up to a ONE HOUR COMEDY performance? Okay, maybe the tickets were cheap, but there are crowds, traffic, babysitters, etc etc, to deal with. People must be starved for entertainment. I don't know if I'd even go through all that for the second coming of Jesus. I'd probably just wait to see it on NetFlix. Kevin didn't seem too bewildered by, or even appreciative of, the size of the crowd. He complained that the cheering wasn't loud enough...okay, okay maybe it was a joke, but I guess he's used to massive crowds. I'm not too crazy about the gratuitous vulgarity. Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle, Pryor, and Sam Kinison use(d) vulgarities. but they used them to embellish their jokes, they weren't used as a crutch. I came across this because I was searching for stand-up, and I like a good laugh once in a while. This wasn't very funny imo. I shut it off half-way through and then checked out Kevin's "Laugh At My Pain" show, which is funnier, but not by much. I think I'm being generous in giving it a 5 rating because maybe it's just me.

I don't understandable the negative reviews!
samanthacato14 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a Brit! Our humour tends to be dry, a little sarcastic and below the belt. Sometimes we don't get American humour because we don't always get the cultural references. I don't even have kids or pets but I laughed my head off. Then I made the mistake of looking on IMDb whilst watching it and I saw all these negative reviews and I couldn't understand why. Then it clicked that he's in London and maybe we get the jokes more so than his own countrymen. I've seen pregnant women do stand-up. Disabled stand-up, racially biased stand-up - i.e taking the mickey out of Black, Jewish, Indian cultures. Sometimes I don't get it but to me, that doesn't mean their set is rubbish. Kevin uses his own life situations with his height (or lack thereof) porn, raising kids, pets, etc as material and now he's making people cringe? Maybe I'm easy to please. I thought he was funny.
