Perhaps I'm being too strict on this show but the exposition is a little too on the nose for me, especially with Kallen's mum appearing out of the blue in the warehouse, and her realisation of her mum's selflessness in slaving away for their wellbeing was something she should have known already. But it's still really nice to see some development for her character as we get a peek of her family troubles.
On the other hand, the politics of this show is too simplistic for my liking, I've never heard of governments not just supporting vigilante groups but outright sending them military equipment to aid them, this is completely unheard of in the real world and extremely irresponsible, especially since these Knightmares are supposedly unmatched in military might for the time being.
Seeing Lelouch give a subtle chuckle at Suzaku's tears warmed my heart, I'd really love to see more of his emotional side, to be frank. Seeing him care enough to save the bullied Eleven at risk of rousing suspicion from Kallen was also pretty nice of him. It's kinda funny seeing C. C pop up randomly to give off deep lines though lmao.
