It's World War I - Sheep Vs. Pigs
ccthemovieman-118 July 2010
A definition of scrumping: "Stealing fruit, especially apples, from someone else's trees. In Britiain, it's considered less bad than shoplifting, but adults still disapprove." The above explanation is from the "Urban Dictionary." In this story, it's those dratted pigs who are doing the stealing, picking apples off a tree and munching of them. They make so much noise that Shaun hears them and goes to investigate. "Hey, I'd like some of those delicious apples, too," he thinks. He asks the pigs to be nice, share some of them and put some in his picnic basket.

The fun starts when the pigs give Shaun - by demonstration - their answer....and it's not a good one. Poor Shaun takes his lumps.

The rest of it is a very humorous look at the methods Shaun uses to get those apples and the methods the pigs use to defend their apple tree. It's almost like World War I, with trenches and everything. The outrageous sights are, of course, a big part of why these episode are so funny. For instance, can you imagine seeing a pig dressed with a hardhat, headphones and brandishing a buzz saw? That's the kind of thing you see here, and in almost all episodes - wild and crazy things. I love it!
