BROTHERS OF THE WILDERNESS is an outdoorsy, wilderness adventure type movie made on a tiny budget and shot in the woods with just a handful of actors. A kid ends up on his own and stranded in the wood through no fault of his own, but luckily for him there's a friendly half-wolf and an old-timer to take care of him. After a time he gets involved with a plot crafted by a couple of thieves and has to work out a way to save the day while his parents search for him. I'm a big fan of atmospheric 'outdoors' films but this is one of the lesser ones I've seen. The story is very limited and the kid a bit too young to deliver anything approaching a proper performance. The dog is great but underutilised apart from in a couple of scenes. The pseudonymous female director also made the cheapo horror flick THE STRANGENESS.
