Rogue wakes up with Nightmares about Kurts past. A woman is running a way from a castle carrying a baby Kurt, while she runs she trips and drops Kurt in the river. The professor offers to help Rogue and Kurt figure out what happened. Without telling Kurt or Rogue the professor learns that the woman was mystique, Kurt's mother and she had been running from Magneto at the time. Magneto first task is the confront Mystique about it. Mystique send Pietro to deliver an anonymous message to meet Kurt to tell him "the truth". Pietro reports everything to Magneto (including the fact that Wolverine is away from the mansion). Magneto already knows this as this watching wolverine approach the castle he is hiding in (the same one as in rogues dream). Wolverine finds a DNA lab but the place is booby trapped and he has to run for his life before he can find anything. Scot and jean go to talk to Kurt and find the note. They go after him, Mystique appears and tries to talk to Kurt about what happened but magneto has given Peitro, toad, Avalanche and the blob to stop her. The X-men arrive and rescue Kurt from the others but mystique gets away without telling them anything. Wolverine suggests to the professor that he may not want to tell Kurt about the DNA lab. Kurt and rogue talk about what happened, Kurt suspects that the professor knows more than he's telling him rogue tries to comfort him she suggests if he does it probably has good reasons. The episode ends with Mystique looking out over other children talking to their mothers outside school, she looks genuinely sad.
