Unfunny "insiders" porn comedy
lor_8 May 2021
Crew member/screenwriter Andy Poncherello has fashioned an idiotic comedy about shooting porn, a genre beloved by pornographers but of little interest to a paying audience. And certainly unworthy of a vehicle for Adam & Eve's premier star Carmen Luvana.

Unrecognizable under a black wig, Carmen plays Christie, introduced as a hapless loser, hounded by creditors and suffering as her car breaks down. She seeks aid at a house where a porno shoot is in progress, and nothing remotely plausible or interesting ensues.

Unwieldy film structure has the narrative told to sleepy shrink Slick Rhodes (who keeps nodding off -a hint to what the average viewer might do) by patient Steve Austin, who happens to be the movie's producer, not the famous wrestler who is still prominent in the public eye doing those Tide commercials with Ice-T.

Austin plays the producer of the porn shoot, too, with Adult legend Tom Byron quite hammy as the show's tyrannical drector Constantine, who Austin nicknames as "Dictator".

Byron is missing his leading lady who fails to show up for work, so he bonks both Christie and Austin over the head, electing to use Christie (who conveniently wakes up with amnesia) as his replacement star.

At this early point, the script falls apart completely, and isn't helped by sloppy direction by A&E's Andre Madness. Makeup lady Ariana Jollee (who director Byron has just humped) magically turns Christie into A&E superstar Carmen Luvana, with her black wig suddenly replaced by Carmen's familar blonde hairdo. None of this makes sense, but we're now officially watching a porn feature from the "Who cares?' end of the spectrum.

Plenty of sex footage remains, including Byron humping Luvana, but it's all filler, since the title premise and all credibility has been tossed to the winds. Among the very lame attempts at humor we have ultra-sexy Ana Nova speaking English with various dumb subtitles added as another porn actress plus a stupid routine of Lee Stone as a porno stud who's a prima donna, at first refusing to perform with Gwen Diamond because shes not the star of Byron's movie.

Other than XXX content, apparently the be-all and end-all of Adult Entertainment in this 21st Century, what we have here is perhaps the dumbest movie relying on the amnesia gimmick yet perpetrated on the public.
