Alan (Jon Cryer) tells the ER staff that he is Matthew Broderick in order to gain faster service. After the doctor gives Charlie (Charlie Sheen) his prognosis, the doctor then scolds Alan: "Why no sequel to Ferris Bueller?" Charlie Sheen had a cameo role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986).
Alan claims to be Matthew Broderick to get service. In fact, Jon Cryer's first professional acting gig was replacing Broderick as David in the Broadway play "Torch Song Trilogy", a job that he got, reportedly, on the basis of their resemblance.
Episode title spoken by Charlie, to Alan.
