I caught this film at a recent film festival and was blown away. It was mistakenly programmed alongside several amateurish, poorly scripted, horror films, making this one even more striking. But make no mistake, this is no amateur effort. The director, John Faust, obviously went to great lengths to make this special. The result, is an exceptional job in every aspect. It was well cast & acted, beautifully shot with saturated colors, and the screenplay was very creepy and felt professionally written. The climax was actually hard to watch. I would definitely give this a "high recommend" to all horror fans and even to those who aren't.

This film has a surreal and creepy feel to it. The acting and directing really added to the story. The sound and music worked well, the lighting was a little dark, but I guess you want a film like this to be dark. This film isn't the normal short horror, it has quality production value and doesn't fall prey to the common horror clichés, which makes By Appointment Only refreshing (as refreshing as horror can be.) I can see this film being picked up by a studio and made into a feature length production. The leading actor is quite sexy and I look forward to seeing her in other films. There is something about this film that still haunts me, so I guess that makes is a successful horror film, right?
