Quiet and well-done TV alien film
andreygrachev18 April 2009
I really admire most of the films that Tobe Hooper made during his bright and awesome career. This film is really commercial, but well-made project. The TV-series about aliens, produced by Spilberg include this part, directed by Tobe. The action takes place back in 40s USA and shows the story of American pilot who once was saved by alien space-craft, but could not remember that. So years later he starts his new life and family, when a huge space-craft falls from the space right near by and strange things starts to happen. There are not many special effects here, but those which there are- well-done and look realistic : the corpses of aliens, huge alien space -ship etc..

Good film for family watching . www.myspace.com/neizvestnostlab

Spielberg made a rereading over Roswell !!!
elo-equipamentos7 June 2019
As subscriber of the cable TV since 1998, I had hear about Taken developed by Spielberg, but it wasn't include in my choose plan, now the entire series finally reach on DVD format in Brazil, in this pilot episode Spielberg made a rereading over Roswell's happenings including others elements as he does wisely, the story began on WW2 at Germany's bombing, where a soldier survives under hard and unexpected happenings, after that the story moves to Roswell, here we are a fresh concept the aliens can change their bodies in something alike humans, the US's Army hidden the crashed Spaceship and their aliens death and just one surviving, in a top secret Army unit, a ambitious Captain Crawford planning get in such project, fabulous opening gave us a hint what's about to come!!!

Good episode, but seriously what the F was that one part?

Warning: Spoilers
It was a very good and interesting episode, but seriously what the F was that part where that main actor suddenly plunges to death that innocent woman who just gave him an piece of the ship? Then the whole thing just gets ignored in the rest of the episode, except that man refers the same thing to his current woman as he said to the woman that he suddenly killed for no reason at all? So does that mean he is just a complete nutter, and is willing to do it again? What the hell was that seriously, and who thought that would be a good idea to put on the first episode? It kinda ruined the whole episode.
