So finally Sam is on the FBI database!
zombiehigh184 November 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Shape shifters are probably the smartest and the most dangerous creatures Sam and Dean had ever hunted. First, One of them framed Dean for murder in Saint Lois and now both of them are wanted by the FBI for bank robbery. This episode, like the last one, is a stand alone one, Yet it's a must see since it sets the frame for future episodes.

This episode introduces FBI Agent Victor Henriksen, Victor is a good add to the show, he is nasty, arrogant, very dangerous to the boys and knows too much info about them. We will sure see him again in a couple of future episodes. It also introduces Ronald Reznick, a crazy guy, who pretty much figured out what was really going on, except for the Mandroid part of course. It was too bad he got killed.

This episode had some good parts: I loved Dean's reaction when Victor was insulting John's memory. But, Sam was too cruel to Ronald even though he thought he was protecting the guy. (He was so different from the understanding cute Sammy we knew). And finally, Sam is officially on the FBI's database. You guys have to lay way too low! It was also cool to see the boys in the SWAT uniform. However, What I liked the most, was the use of Styx's "Renegade" , that was super.

they are so screwed

Warning: Spoilers
MY GOD. THIS WAS A GOOD EPISODE.

lots of intense moments, a crazy FBI guy. and great way to propel the plot. i love the way the writers realize that sam and dean's paranoral excursions will only continue to attract the prying eyes of the government. I'm waiting for the "men in black" government guys to start showing up. eventually they will. i mean, if supernatural activity is so prevalent in this world the the show's version of the government is bound to have studied it much in the way the x-files deals with it.

i love the emotion in the last scene with sam and dean getting into the car. one question though

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THAT SONG???!@?!? !

please email me at jesse.akins@us.army.mil if you do. i'd appreciate it.

His lazereyes!

A wonderful comedic take a who done it plot, this is one of the most fully realized episodes of the entire series. It furthers the themes of social isolation and alienation that the boys go through, while continuing the wrong side of the law subplot that was a staple of seasons 2-3. Best of all, it uses shapeshifters to their fullest abilities. Oh and it is funny as hell.

Ron is a great guest character. His dislike of Sam and his banter with the Winchester holds up after all these years.

Mandroid and Shape Shifter
claudio_carvalho9 July 2008
After the heist of the City Bank of Milwaukee by the old employee Joel and a jewelry store by the head buyer Helena, where the employees committed suicide later, Dean and Sam investigate the weird robberies. They meet the paranoid Ronald Reznick (Chris Gauthier) that has a conspiracy theory and believes that the criminal is a "mandroid". Ron provides good leads to the Winchester brothers and they conclude that the criminal is actually a shape-shifter that is hidden in the sewage system. They decide to survey the Milwaukee National Trust using the surveillance cameras to find the criminal, but Ron breaks in the bank forcing a hostage situation.

"Nightshifter" is another great episode of the Second Season of Supernatural. The engaging and funny story has wonderful moments and dialogs. However, the chase of the FBI for Dean and Sam is exaggerated and hard to believe that the Winchester brothers will be able to hide themselves for a long time. My vote is eight.

a must see of the season!! :D...well you MUST see all of them but...oh never mind..
super_frog1623 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
whoa, this has to be a favourite of mine... *realises shes said that about almost every episode of season 2* but tis true, it was an awesome episode! Ronald was such a lovable character, he just about hit all the nails on the head with his research...except.....mandroid *snort* when he died it was actually quite sad...i loved that huggable little nerdy guy :D and *applause* for Jensen's acting on the scene where the FBI guy called him. totally believability about him being totally shocked to hear that this guy knew so much about him. and, although i did guess the ending minutes before it actually happened, it was still soo cool and so well acted! i thought that another storyline containing a shifter would be, to be blunt, boring. you know, been there, done that....but oh how wrong i was! this was worlds apart from 'skin', and is now one of my most loved episodes :D a really tense and thrilling episode! absolutely the right amount of action and mystery, along with a great twisty type of plot line to keep you second guessing yourself throughout. loved it! cant wait for houses of the holy! The insane are sometimes not.
mm-3926 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I like how the insane guy knows something up, and the people who are normal disbelieve. The robot man from the security guard had it 3/4 right. Dean and Sam have a mission which is wrinkled, because of the security guard's interference. I love the slow burn last quarter of the show. Dean's comments we are so screwed is great. How they get out of this episode is brilliant. Well directed, acted and written is why Supernatural is the best show on television. Supernatural is the New England Patriots of Television. 9 out 10. When will they put a classic ZZ top song on a episode? Will the FBI be in season 3? I be the bank robbery will haunt the brother in season 3? The FBI has to be in several of season 3 episodes?

Schizo

It seemed like the writers for the inside the bank scenes never spoke with the writers for the outside the bank scenes. It was a fun who done it, though.
