I have not got all the time in the world.

A businessman discovers that someone took a contract out on him;this man apparently got it made although he remained honest (scene with the other executive ,a vital scene to understand the ending)but he is a bit paranoiac ,he finds his energy through chemistry and special injections .

If you are looking for an action -packed story, you 've got to move on:in fact ,the style reminds me of that of Jean Pierre Melville, but with more simplicity ,bald style;as the victim asks for a reprieve ,in order to secure his daughter's future ,a depressing painful atmosphere sets in.The killer sleeps with a girl who is actually an escort girl paid by his future victim :he tells her about himself and meanwhile bonds grow between the two men;too bad that the scene when the killer is asked "do you feel any remorse after slaying someone you never met before?" was not more developed.

The three leads, principally the male ones, are not characters you meet every day;commercially ,the movie was not a success, but it might well become a sleeper.

A noir update of Gilles Grangier's "Trois Jours A Vivre" (1957)
