There are so many elements that help make this a standout classic episode. I've always really liked the early politically centred outputs, with Stan being obsessed with a political leader or acting like a bigoted idiot (sometimes both). In this case it's George W. Bush. Stan thwarting every single one of Hayley's attempts to challenge the president on political issues is both really funny and sadistic, since he completely disregards her safety or wellbeing just so she can't say anything bad about him, sending her down the trap door several times. Using George as Stan's idol is perfect, since that gives the writers an opportunity for him to see how even someone he respects can do wrong. The entire sequence with Bush being drunk and acting silly doing childish stuff is hilarious, for example when he makes Stan touch a miniature building that looks like a penis, or skinnydips in a neighbor's pool. They strike a nice balance in pointing out Bush's flaws, but also managing to make him a likable and kind of endearing character. It's not easy to be in such a high position, even if someone's got to do it. Although I can't stand Bush at all, they do a good job at making you empathize with him a bit. Even Hayley warms up to him a little after he tells Stan that he should respect her daughter, and not call her a hopeless case just because she's a bit of a party animal. Yes, she turned out to be guilty when it comes to the pot bag, but with the lack of respect she gets from her father it's no wonder she didn't want to tell the truth.

The subplot ties in quite nicely with the main plot, since Roger want to capture Osama Bin Laden and get his hand on the reward money for it so he can buy Dollywood (a Dolly Parton-themed theme park. With Steve's help of course. After Roger finds what he thinks is evidence, he takes Bush up to the attic and intends to spill the information to him, but accidentally makes him choke on a really gross snack. Roger's attempts to cool him down only to get him progressively more drunk made me laugh in how much he screws up. Later on, he and Steve arrive to the address where Bin Laden supposedly lives, and interrogates a man who looks absolutely nothing like Bin Laden. They're forced to give up, but we get an amusing extra scene at the end where Osama goes to work at MacMillan & Son's, the exact place they suspected him of working at. Roger's love for Dolly Parton is fairly restrained compared to his determination to catch the terrorist, but there's a priceless little bit where Roger falsely sings the famous song Jolene.

One of the best of season 2.
