Bad Karma
claudio_carvalho24 October 2008
Sara and Michael fail in the Corona de Oro, and Michael discovers that Pope is a member of the cigar club. They pay a visit to Pope's home and Michael makes a deal to turn himself in to force Pope to get whatever is in the safe. Meanwhile Mahone is chasing C-Note in Hennepin County, while the doctor refuses to attend Dede and tells C-Note that the hospital is not a homeless shelter. Mahone let C-note escape because of his daughter; however when Dede's kidney is too sick and needs a dialysis, C-Note calls Mahone and makes a deal. T-Bag arrives in his sprayed and depleted house in Alabama with the intention of raising a family with Susan and recalls how he was abused by his father However, when Susan tells that she is not capable of loving him, he locks Susan, Zack and Gracey in the basement and anonymously reports the hostage situation to the police. In Mexico, Sucre stops in the middle of nowhere twenty minutes far from the airport and gets a ride with a security guard of the airport. Later he is identified and he escapes with Maricruz. Lincoln and Kellerman are watching Pope from the top of a building and Kellerman promises to drag many people in the black hole he is in. When Bill Kim holds Pope, the escapees take an attitude.

I do not understand why Kellerman did not shoot Bill Kim when he has a chance. The desperate situation of C-Note is heartbreaking, but when he promises to turn Michael in, I lost my empathy for this character. T-Bag is a fruit of the bad blood of his family and his karma is very sad. Mahone shows compassion for the first time. Now I am anxious to know the content of the pen drive that Pope brought from the safe. My vote is nine.

Fun despite of cliches

Warning: Spoilers
I loved when Michael's brother beat Kim the clown face in front of the cigar club. Pope the former head of Fox River helped them get what Sara's father hid there before getting killed. They haven't listened to the Audio file yet. Frank turned himself in in exchange of his wife getting out of prison and his daughter receiving treatment and promised mahone to bring him Michael. When they drove away from the club with Pope, Sara left Kellerman there alone. Sucre finally got to meet his lover in Mexico at the airport and tbag set his lover and her kids free after she openly said she'd not love him at the cabin house of his. It's annoying that they manage to escape the last second countless times in a single episode, it's still fun to watch because it has a nice retro atmosphere to it.

Robert Knepper

Robert Knepper is a phenomenal actor. He artfully garners the disgust and loathing of his audience during the entire season. I cannot imagine another actor who could've played his role better. That vile little thing that he does with his tongue when he's about to put emphasis on his twisted perception of the world. In this episode, you can watch him turn his character's psyche and mentation on a dime. There is a very tender scene in this episode and it is delightful to watch Robert Knepper to give his character such incredible depth and dimension.

Another clue

Michael and Sara enter to the cigarette club but they can't get anything because they are discovered… So Michael has an idea… He remembers that one member of the club was surprisingly his old friend Henry Pope…. They get to meet him and ask him to go to the club and find the secret information. At first he refuses to do it but he makes an arrangement with Michael ( for the old times) and accepts. In other way there is T bag who goes with his new family to his old house. In a surprising twist he confesses Susan that his childhood was very sad and that his father used to harass him. He also says that he's happy of being the last of his generation and that the only thing that he wants is to start all over again. He asks her to love him (or at list pretend to do it) but she refuses. He becomes mad and sad and lock them. Susan's family become amazed when they discover later that the police find them because of an anonymous call ( obviously made by T bag). Henry enters to the club and finds a USB drive and listens to a recording. When he gets out of the place Kim stops him and tries to make him talk. Michael notices what's happening and decides to crash Kim with the car. Lincoln also punches him. They escape with the car but Sara doesn't leave Kellerman enter… Henry delivers them the USB drive and arrives at his house. Michael wants to do his part of the pact: to give himself to the police, but after some chat Henry forgives him. Benjamin is still scaling from the police but he faces a big problem: her daughter is really sick. He decides after trying so hard to get her attended by a doctor, to give himself to Mahome. He makes a treat: if his daughter gets well he'll give Michael to the police. At last is Sucre who gets to the airport of Mexico to receive Maricruz but he is discovered by the police so he starts to run once more. At least he is know accompanied by his lover and that makes the things lighter.

So much warm feelings amidst all this
CinemaFX29 July 2022
First of all, Yes... that freakin' dude got kicked in the face by Lincoln.

Already happy, lol 2nd, Sucre got with his love 3rd we saw Pope and some kind of rekindlement with Michael 4th is Mahone, I like Mahone. His conversation with Haywire before and now one scene with Franklin's daughter stands out here. He is very layered character.

T-Bag did right thing and that was hearbreaking. He is not just evil. But a very good villain.

And finally Franklin, I almost cried at this desperation at the end but came one thing - He decided to give up Michael. Lets see if he could've done without that or it was necessary.
