Chandrasekhar Yeleti: Thanks for being in Tollywood... Thanks for Okkadunnadu

Okkadunnadu, undoubtedly my all time favorite Telugu film, I've seen this film twice in the theater, on the same day and countless number of times on TV and Youtube. Gopichand is fantastic in the film, his histrionics, body language and performance were of top notch. He excelled in the action episodes.

Okkadunnadu is not a regular commercial Telugu film, entertainment levels are less, but still Bramhanandam & Giribabu were hilarious at times. The movie sticks to the point and never deviates, the story becomes clear once the actual thread is revealed. There is a reason behind every move that Gopichand makes. The dialog's made lot of sense specially when Mahesh Manjrekar says "Nee Gunde Dhairyam Chavali Kaani Nee Gunde Bathakali" clearly reveals the intentions of the villain, and that's what makes Gopichand invincible.

Chandrasekhar Yeleti, who earlier gave Aithe & Anukokunda Oka Roju, now comes with another different concept. The direction and the screenplay were great. His direction specially for the ruthless action scenes was awesome.

I loved this film to the core, a perfect 10/10.

THANKS TO CHANDRASEKHAR YELETI, THANKS FOR BEING IN TOLLYWOOD, THANKS FOR MAKING OKKADUNNADU... KUDOS !!

A class apart, memorable action thriller.

There a some movies which excite you right from the moment you read the synopsis and find it to be having a unique concept.

OKKADUNNADU is one of those movies.

Replete with nonstop action and plot twists, it's a refreshing, offbeat action thriller which has a very unique storyline and screenplay. From the fights to emotions to twists: the film gets it all right. I knew this would be an excellent film, right from the start. But one of the best things about the film is its unpredictability: you can't really predict what next is going to happen, and that's great!

Gopichand has given an energetic performance and has impressed in both the dialogue and action driven sequences. Mahesh Manjrekar is impressive. Neha Jhulka is decent. Nasser is good. Other actors are also impressive.

OKKADUNNADU lives up to the expectations and delivers what a viewer can expect upon listening to the word "thinking man's action movie". You don't really need to think while watching the film as it's not convoluted or dialogue-heavy, but the intensity of the subject will definitely make you think about the message the film delivers. I kept guessing how it all will end.

There are some minor flaws, however. The very first song feels forced out of nowhere and so does another one involving the heroine. The music is as a whole just decent, with nothing memorable.

But what makes OKKADUNNADU rise above all odds is its high-voltage action which is as realistic as possible. The fights are as brutal as they can get, and in the process a lot of blood is shed. The A certificate feels justified here.

Further propelled by Gopichand's energetic performance and Chandra Sekhar Yeleti's strong direction, OKKADUNNADU turns out to be not just a watchable, but a memorable action thriller as well.
