- Subject: I think one of the things I've taken away from my experiences is that a family has to be adaptive and supportive. And if you are honest with each other and love each other, somehow it works out.
- Mark Farley: It was a shock to me at first. I didn't even know who transgender people were or what that term meant. I just couldn't imagine you transforming into something else.
- Jennie Farley: I know that I have them back, but I really don't think of them as my children anymore. They're young people I know.
- Clair Farley: But I'm still the same person...
- Mark Farley: You're the same person, but Mark and Clair isn't the same as Mark and Alex.
