To swim or not to swim? That is the question... Warning: Spoilers
SOME POETICAL JUSTICE AND

TO SWIM OR NOT TO SWIM?

THAT IS THE QUESTION.

:::::::::::::::::::::

Within this episode we can find one of the biggest narrative errors in all the Thundercats series. We will be told in an upcoming episode, that Tygra's main liability is that unless he is invisible, he is unable to swim. Nonetheless, in this adventure we see that he can swim, dive and hold his breath under water for a long time,both when he is visible and when he is invisible, which is the logical way of being, I think.

Sadly for Tygra, the version found in the episode "Safari Joe" that says that he can't swim is the one that impacted the Thundercats' lore the most as the question: "Who is the Thundercat who cannot swim?" is a very common one between fans playing trivia.

Letting Tygra's swimming skills, or the lack of them alone, we had a good and entertaining episode where Tygra, and then Lion-0 and Wila infiltrate the Castle Plun-Darr and ruin the terrible weapon of the Mutants that had made so much damage to the Tree-top kingdom, poetically without doing it directly, but because of a big mistake that the Mutants themselves made while chasing the Thundercats. That means that technically, it was the Mutants who ruined their own plans.
