The music in this series is fantastic ; on the other hand the mental battle between Kira and L is on fire, I think the more Kira appears he is ordinary person, the more L suspected him, LOL!

Battle of two great minds

The episode really highlights L's and Light's smarts in obe trying to outwit one another which is really interesting to see. I also loved to see Light's father Chief Yagami dedication to his work, letting his own familly be spied on even in the bathroom. Also seeing Light manipulate Ryuk into helping him by using his apple addiction had me rolling lol.

An episode more focused on Kira/Light's family, where we were able to learn more about his routines and even learn more about his own family. I see comments saying that the script makes it easier for Kira to get everything he wants, and that he is not intelligent, but the other characters are stupid. But for me, if that's the case, all scripts make it easier for the heroes/villains to put their plans into action. For me, Light/Kira is mega intelligent, yes, and L can be as intelligent or even more intelligent than him. One of the big reasons why Netflix's Death Note movie is horrible is because at no point in that movie is Light's genius shown or transmitted (if you try a little, you can see a little bit of his genius at the end of that movie, but is not enough) and much less L's genius too, both were very mischaracterized in that film. Episode eight watched on March 5, 2024.

Cameras

L suspects the Yagagami family and says that they need to wiretap and set up cameras. The chief agrees and says they will even put it in the bathroom. The other men are shocked saying doesn't he have a wife and daughter??

Light is smart and careful of his every move knowing he is being watched and heard. He buys a book with sexy girls in it and this shocks his father. L says it is normal for a seventeen year old.
