A return to form during a drab season
john_siv15 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
While season 18 sees a notable drop in quality from 17, this episode sees a return to the form of the classic days.

Bart gets a drivers' license as a reward for putting out a fire, the starting of which, at Cletus and Brandine's chicken shed, was particularly inventive and fun in its presentation. He has a fun romantic plot with an older girl that has laughter and tenderness in equal parts.

The real fun though is with Lisa's subplot of faking Native American heritage to do well at a school project (claiming her roots are from the Hitachi tribe after spotting that as her microwave brand was particularly amusing). Almost prophetic in its subject matter and lingo (she even refers to "cultural appropriation") and with a cynicism and bite that mid-later Simpsons episodes often lack, this part of the episode makes the whole well worth checking out.

Warning: Spoilers
It was a horrible ending. It started out great but then (spoiler) Bart's new 16 year-old girlfriend was knocked up but not by him. Then they decide 2 get married in Utah. Then, right before they were legally married Bart's and his girlfriends parents come in and stop it. Then the girls mother is also pregnant so they could say they are twins. So it was not exactly good so,I guess I would recommend it. So what are you doing go off and watch it!!Trust me even though it is a good episode it is not worth waiting 2 days for it.Like I did.Trust me just don't wait that long to see it! Yet, you should see it if you get the chance! Hope you like it!

I guess I'm one of very few that absolutely loves this episode of The Simpsons

So much happens in it like with the red neck family, pranks, heroic acts, hilarious parts, excellent soundtrack and Bart connecting with a girl. I always appreciate episodes that make me laugh really hard which this one did! Others may not like the relationship in this but it was barely serious so I think Little Big Girl deserves more credit!

Overly funny and hilarious

Little Big Girl is hands down the funniest modern Simpsons episode I can recall. The episode is filled to the brim with jokes and humor, each one coming in rapid succession. One of the highlights of the episode is when Homer calls Bart on the phone to make some ridiculous and over-the-top requests, resulting in a barrage of laughs, and the hilarious and realistic negative reaction of Bart to those calls from his father.

The episode manages to keep the humor fresh and entertaining throughout, with jokes that will have you laughing out loud. The writers have done a great job of making the characters feel like themselves again, with classic jokes and one-liners that will make longtime fans of the show smile. If you're a fan of classic Simpsons humor, this is an episode you won't want to miss.

In general, an outstanding episode characterized by a frequent succession of humorous gags, both in the A and B plots. It's like a classic gem among so many modern episodes.
