A good Romanian comedy

I found this movie quite good and is a nice performance of the Romanian cinematography. I was surprised to find different humour styles, more than one could expect after seeing the show "Vacanta Mare" (since most of the characters are borrowed from there). In this movie, both Mugur Mihaiescu and Radu Pietreanu recreate (ofcourse by highlighting and potentiating) the way some families lieve in Romania and what their mentalities are, for example: the scene with the barbecue on the green space in the hart of the city where no one seem to have a problem with the smoke, cars, noise, etc.; the scene when she throws the soup out of the window; the way gypsy clans built their houses and how they do not care about the laws, and so on. Another thing that I really enjoyed is the music. It was amazingly good, combining the traditional music with 'manele' and with the modern techno and so covering almost the whole spectrum one can find in Romania. The the characters are all different and all are quite funny. This sometimes reminds of Mr. Bean's or Adam Sandler's movies. I found it really relaxing and entertaining.

good for Romanian moviegoers

Obviously this movie is made having a national target not international moviegoers. Nothing new under the sun: A lot of comedies are made for local market. Good for Romanian moviegoers. But as the other comment shows Romanians tend to dis-consider everything that is Romanian and for the only reason that is Romanian. Ozone, Akcent, Mihai Traistariu made a lot of money in European music market but in our country they are "crap". Monica Dean and so many other actors with a good manager receive roles in US movies but they are "whores", "bad" just because they are Romanian....and more obviously because they are sort of successful Romanians. This movie is a decent movie with local low level humor but wait to see it on TV cause it's not something to die for.

More than I expected

I've seen worse. This is clearly above average. I wasn't expecting such interesting performance. It sometimes hilarious, and overall well made. A fun show to watch, and that's what matters here.

Of course, you cannot expect to be blown away by it, but it's definitely made with passion, and since it exceeded my expectations, it cannot be bad. I watched plenty of comedy shows, and this one does it right.

At least, is one good Romanian piece of work. Haven't seen many. And because I still have to say something.. it's been a while since I saw this one, and if I still can remember it's good, then it must be :)

Please, don't waste your time with this one!!!! You've been warned!

I should say first that I could only bear to watch the first 15 minutes of this "movie?!". It consists of a mix of idiot jokes and situations, most of them, if not all, stolen from other movies. Oh yes, and the worst part are the the romanian "actors"!!! Total lack of talent there. I'm not the only one to say there's nothing original or intelligent in this one, but then again I'm sure that's exactly why a lot of romanian "citizens"(especially those living in Bucharest) will enjoy it! One of my friends who made it through the entire 100 minutes of this rubbish said it was a real torture. I'm going to end it here saying this movie is yet another reason why I'm not proud of being romanian. Long live Romania!?

If your IQ is over 90, don't watch the movie!!!!

Hello, and thanks for reading this short review. Sadly, I must start this review by saying that I am a Romanian. But I'm not ashamed by my country, I'm ashamed by this stupid movie and the fact that 70% of the population thinks that this movie is a masterpiece. Of course Romania has very good comedians, which I truly admire, but these guys aren't among them. This movie is just childish, the humor is so obvious that even a dog could understand it (dogs have an IQ of 93). Don't get me wrong, I don't hate these guys, but after watching this weak movie I felt like shooting myself in the head. So if you don't consider yourself being dumb or stupid, you would avoid watching this movie. Have a nice day!
