Sometimes recommending people for a job has a way of backfiring on the person who does the good deed. Take the case of Cha Cha, Richard Lewis' girlfriend. Larry asked his friend Bert, who has an office in his building to hire Cha Cha as a receptionist. Only trouble is, the woman sits right across the men's room Larry frequents and she is a busybody on top of that. He is sorry he put in a good word for her.
A lunch at LaFarm restaurant proves to be another annoyance. When Susie asks to have the leftover steak wrapped to take home, the server gets in an uproar because the meat will go to a dog, not a human. Larry intervenes, asking to give it to him, but ends up giving it to the Greenes to take home. To his horror, Larry finds the steak was tampered with as Susie's dog gets sick after eating it.
Another incident has Larry running to Dr. Schaeffer. Going to a different men's room in his building, he is deafened by the flushing noise. Larry does not like the questions his physician asks, especially about his urination. Going home, the Blacks have an issue in that they consider the toilet paper used by Cheryl humiliating. Trying to help them will be met with his wife's anger.
Another funny episode in the 2007 season. Larry David wrote the screenplay and Alec Berg, a regular contributor to the program, directed this hilarious chapter. This season revolves around the Blacks, the homeless people Cheryl decided to bring to her home. There are a lot of ideas that no one but Larry David can think about to integrate it into the series with some impressive results. This installment deals with a few themes which are explored in surprising and refreshing ways, something that works so well. The regulars, by now, feel as though they have been together for all their lives. There is an ensemble feeling in every new episode that feels real, as it is the case of this one.
