Renowned artist Matt Busch has not only created artwork for bands like Black Sabbath, Motely Crue and Alice Cooper, but he also has a project called Hollywood Is Dead wherein he recreates classic movie posters zombie style.
Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, Hollywood Is Dead will soon be a coffee table book.
Busch doesn't just amend existing posters; he actually recreates the iconic artwork from scratch and adds a touch of the undead to each, coming up with such titles as Breakfast Is Tiffany, Alice from Underland, Beauty and the Feast and Cadavatar. Busch is obviously a massively talented dude with an awesome sense of humor. And now all his work will be collected in one spot as the Kickstarter campaign to create a book of Busch's work was successfully funded after just 12 days.
Check out the successfully funded Hollywood Is Dead Kickstarter page for more info. There are...

A zombie horror comedy....Yeah we’ve sure seen that before...but not methinks from Russia? Other than the film is directed by Kirill Kemnits and stars Julia Volkova, Mikhail Efremov, we don’t know a whole lot more about it yet, but we’ll consider that enough to say the stage is set, now onto the trailer featuring and a ragtag bunch of misfits - and babes with machine guns - raining down death on un-dead hordes. That we can understand in any language. Synopsis: When a meteor crashes ruining a wild beach party infecting everyone with the “Zombie Fever”... the dead start walking the Earth. A special-forces veteran joins a group of misfits in an apocalyptic fight for liberty, justice and the “Mother of all Zombie Wars”. Based on almost true events... this epic saga will prove that Love is more powerful than Fear and the game of Killing Zombies is Awesome!

Fright Rags’ new designs for July include Chillerama, Tremors, and the third shirt in their zombie Star Wars series. They also have a limited quantity of their special edition Dawn of the Dead shirt and have resurrected the designs for Zombie, They Live, and Frankenhooker.
We’ve included a look at the new designs below. You can pick them up for yourself or learn more at: http://www.fright-rags.com
Arguably the best story from Chillerama was Adam Green’s “The Diary of Anne Frankenstein”, and the monstrous Meshugganah monster which Hitler created to help take over the world. Destroy Meshugganah is an homage to wartime-era propaganda posters with a satiric twist…yes ladies and gentlemen, tongue is firmly implanted into cheek with this one.
“That’s it, Graboids!”. I can clearly recall seeing Tremors in the theater 22 years ago on my winter break from school, and I’ve loved it ever since.

Yep, that old silly Sasquatchploitation genre is still alive and kickin’ (hopefully like real life Bigfoots…why can’t we find them?) with Night Claws. The official website has a new poster and trailer for you all to enjoy.
Bigfoot is on the loose, and he’s pissed! A plus? Old school FX – no CGI.
Here’s the synopsis: “A small town is being terrorized by a killer Bigfoot. One that is bloodthirsty, vicious and kills without warning and without discrimination. A scientist by the name of Sarah Evans (Leilani Sarelle; Basic Instinct and Barbarians at the Gate) shows up to help the town’s sheriff (Reb Brown; Yor, the Hunter from the Future and Space Mutiny) and his deputy girlfriend Roberta (Sherrie Rose; King of the Kickboxers and Black Scorpion II: Aftershock) hunt this thing down and put an end to the killings. At the same time, Hunter Crawford...

What if Yor, the Hunter from the Future, Sharon Stone's lesbian lover from Basic Instinct, the star of a host of 80s/90s made-for-video action b-movies, the King of the Kickboxer's girlfriend, and Sylvester Stallone's brother got together to star in a new Sasquatchploitation flick called Night Claws from the director of such horror movies as Killer Workout and Mardi Gras for the Devil?
God willing the wait to answer that question won't be too long. Maybe you don't share my enthusiasm, but as a man with an unabashed soft spot for killer Bigfoot movies, the works of David and Ted Prior's Action International Pictures output, and several of the names announced for the cast, Night Claws is already high on my must-see list.
Undead Backbrain brings word that b-moviemaker David A. Prior is back in Alabama (where most of his past movies were filmed) to bring...

David A. Prior, a director with around thirty credits, directed the cheese fest that is 1986's Killer Workout (aka Aerobi-cide) which was released by the now defunct Academy Home Entertainment. Academy Home Entertainment is the same company responsible for other low brow horror films like Mirror Mirror, Bloody New Year, Witchcraft and a seemingly never ending series of sequels, and many other horror titles. Say what you want about Killer Workout, but it sold on the world wide market and was a seemingly successful entry into the slasher genre. Killer Workout stars Marcia Karr and Teresa Van Der Woude. Here is what David had to say on Killer Workout.
So who is David A Prior and what are you all about?
Born in Newark, N.J. Grew up in Baltimore. Went to Los Angeles at 20 years old just to get away. I got hired to be an extra in a movie and started to think,...

I'm sure there are many of you out there wishing lightning really would strike and electrocute the Sci-Fi Channel - or at least some of its executives. I'm afraid that is not what this headline is about. It's a reference to a new original movie in the works over at Sci-Fi titled Lightning Strikes, about a paranormal creature lurking within the lightning that's holding a town hostage.
Some of you may recognize the name David A. Prior. For those that do not, he's been around since the 1980's making all manner B-movies, primarily of the direct-to-video variety, often starring his buff brother Ted Prior. He got his start with an ultra low budget horror 1983 horror flick Sledgehammer. Since then he's gone on to write, direct, and/or produce action/horror/sci-fi flicks the likes of Killer Workout, Future Force, Mardi Gras for the Devil, Raw Justice, Mutant Species, and just...
