- Latimer King: [In the interrogation room] No, not the alimony, Miss Calhoun. I'm talking about whatever was underneath the mattress. I think your husband did some illegal flying, Miss Calhoun, and he, uh, made a lot of money to do it. I don't think he's missing. I think he's dead. I think you stumbled across his money, and I think that you are covering.
- Lily Calhoun: Agent King, I...
- Latimer King: No. I'm gonna send a team of agents to your house, and they're gonna rip your house inside out. They're gonna just shake it like a piggy bank, see what falls out. Then I'm gonna charge you with criminal conspiracy, and I'm gonna send you away for the rest of your natural life. Now, you look at my face and you tell me if I'm serious, 'cause I'm serious as a heart attack. I wanna make sure I got the right face on here. Now, you tell me what I wanna know, I will come down with a case of amnesia; you don't, and I will come down with a case of my foot in your ass.
- Lucian Knapp: You know, we haven't found links between the Cains and any of our suspects. Everyone is disconnected. Scratch that. Everyone is insulated, except one person.
- Turner: Sullivan.
- Lucian Knapp: The subconscious mind is able to detect patterns and process information faster than our rational mind. More often than not, our instincts are right.
- Turner: Not me. Not when it comes to men.
- Lucian Knapp: A guy like Conrad Cain, if his gut's not mostly right, it's rarely wrong. If his gut was telling him that Sullivan was involved, he's probably right.
- Malcolm Atkins: You okay?
- Latimer King: Ask me later over a beer.
- Malcolm Atkins: You don't drink.
- Latimer King: Correct.
- Latimer King: If the kid's not in the country, he got a plane. If he got on a plane, there was a pilot. The kidnappers' MO would suggest that pilot may now be dead; ergo, we're looking for a dead pilot.
- Malcolm Atkins: Well, what about a missing one?
- Latimer King: That'd be a good runner-up.
- Lucian Knapp: The US-Swiss Joint Economic Commission passed legislation stating the Swiss government would cooperate fully with any terrorist-related investigation.
- Senator Bill Ross: Right. Which THIS is not.
- Lucian Knapp: Are you sure about that? Terrorists have been known to take hostages and make demands in exchange for their release. We got four dead federal agents, two buildings bombed, forty million dollars up in smoke. Seems to fit the profile. And I'm sure Mrs. Cain would attest to her being terrorized.
- Senator Bill Ross: Knapp, what you're asking...
- Lucian Knapp: In my world, Senator, saying you will do ANYTHING to help someone is not a phrase treated lightly, which is why I never say it.
- Latimer King: So, tell me, Lily, do you know why you're here?
- Lily Calhoun: Kid said you wanted to ask me some questions about my ex-husband?
- Latimer King: Agent Atkins?
- Lily Calhoun: He's an agent? I thought he was a Boy Scout earning college credits.
- Latimer King: You seem awfully calm for a woman in federal custody, Miss Calhoun.
- Lily Calhoun: I haven't done anything wrong.
- Latimer King: Yeah. In my experience, that usually makes people less calm.
- Lucian Knapp: [seeing Conrad enter a second-hand jewelry store] Had him pegged for more of a Cartier kind of guy.
- The Operator: Guys on the bottom of this food chain are coming up with a case of the ice picks. I mean, I think it's time we take matters into our own hand.
- Bellows: I'm listening.
- The Operator: We got the merchandise. What's to stop us from opening our own store?
