A heat wave reminds Earl of number twenty-six on his list: the guy he stole an air conditioner from. That guy turns out to be an old stoner played by Christian Slater whose long term use of weed has messed up his memory so he never even remembers the event. He's now living in a commune and invites Earl and Randy to stay a week and live like they do there before Earl can scratch him off the list.
The whole "global warming" issue gets a little bit heavy handed for a brief moment (are they going for their Humanitas prize?) but otherwise the episode is a riot. Highlights include a reenactment of a "Friends" episode (with the irrepressible Mike McGill as Chandler!), and Randy eating a mixture that causes him to hallucinate and see everyone in Claymation form.
Slater is good as the old stoner and the regular cast is in top form. The comedy is really hilarious though the writers still don't seem to know what to do with Catalina.
