Why did they bother??
steve_culpan12 March 2008
This has got to go down as almost one of the worst movies of all time. Awful acting, awful script... and they were the good points! One to Definitely miss! The jokes, if you could call them that, were so predictable as to be pathetic. Pamela Anderson is still relying on her body to detract from the fact that her acting is just as plastic! I sat willing to give it a chance, hoping that it was going to improve which, alas, it didn't! If it was a choice between this and a book, I suggest you settle down for a good read! I like Denise Richards, which is why I gave this movie a go, but why she has let her self be cast in this movie is beyond me!

Uh...Huh?!

Two complete idiots show up to train for their pilot's license (Oh, no!), but quickly get into all kinds of trouble. This is where the movie goes downhill! While watching, I kept thinking 'Why are these women running loose without medication and a guard?!' It's only because I like these two actresses that I decided to watch this. Actually, I'm appalled! I don't mind silly movies or funny movies, but this was a waste! I've seen these actresses in better comedic roles, so this makes me think if they had a better director and a better script maybe they could have pulled this off? I don't know. All I do know is that after watching this my brain became numb and number!! LOL.

So bad it's amusing

This is so bad in so many ways. However, for that reason the film becomes amusing and is a bit of fun to watch.

Could a movie be any worse?
pmcdeee20 January 2008
There are bad movies, terrible movies even boring movies...I can watch most and put up until the end, not this time. Avoid this like the plague, annoying music throughout, terrible editing, no comedy, its tackier than a novelty mug...My missus wanted to watch this thinking it would be Legally Blonde material or something kind of watchable, but never better than average, chick flick. Its the first time she was begging me to push the stop button.

The Girls, well, they were not great to start with (Denise done OK in Starship Troopers and Wild things) but you have sank to the gravel. I feel like a mug having spent 30 minutes on this...Pamela Anderson is almost unrecognisable after much construction work to her face.

Please take my advice if you want to avoid wasting valuable oxygen and brain cells ranting at the utter mince that is on your screen.

More like Stupid and Stupider
Smells_Like_Cheese26 February 2008
When I was at the movie store the other day, I passed up Blonde and Blonder, but something about it just seemed like it could possibly be a cute movie. Who knows? I mean, I'm sure most people bashed Romy and Michelle before they saw it, Blonde and Blonder might have just been another secret treasure that was passed up. But when I started watching it: Executive Producer Pamela Anderson, wow, I knew I was in for something scary. Not only that, but both of what were considered the pinnacle of hotness: Pam Anderson and Denise Richards, not to offend them, but they were not aging well at all and they're playing roles that I think were more meant for women who are supposed to be in their 20's, not their 40's. The story was just plain bad and obnoxious.

Dee and Dawn are your beyond stupid stereotypical blonde's, they really don't have a clue when it comes to what is going on in the world, it's just really sad. But when the girls are somehow mistaken for murder assassins, the cops are on their tale and are actually calling the girls geniuses due to their "ignorance is bliss" attitudes. They are set up to make a "hit" on a guy, and they think they're just going to "show him a good time", but the real assassin is ticked and wants the case and to kill the girls.

Denise and Pam just look very awkward on the screen and almost like they read the script the day before. I know that this was supposed to be the stupid comedy, but it was more than stupid, it went onto obnoxious and was just unnecessary. Would I ever recommend this? Not in a million years, the girls are just at this point trying to maintain their status as "sex kittens", it's more a sign of desperation and Blonde and Blonder is a huge blonde BOMBshell.

Great brain off entertainment
Gordon-1123 March 2008
This film is about two blonde girls being mistaken by the police and mobs as ruthless assassins.

"Blonde and Blonder" is not as bad as I thought. I think the plot and the jokes work quite well. Having two dumb but attractive girls misunderstanding a very grave situation is actually hilarious. Obviously there are no intelligent moments, but at least it does not entirely rely on toilet humour or nudity to make viewers interested. I mean, they are actually very serious about this film, with so helicopters and speedboats in the final chase!

"Blonde and Blonder" is a great brain off entertainment for a quiet evening. After all, one would not expect any Oscar nominated performance!

Danny Glover would be proud
freakfire-127 February 2008
How could I best express my feelings about this movie: hideous? a headache? lack of coherent writing? plain stupidity? Try all of the above for this travesty. And that just for the direction.

Story? Well I guess there is a story. Two dumb blondes look for a job after they crash a plane into a golf course. They are mistaken for a 'world renounced assassin' (sarcasm) and are 'hired' by two 'mobsters'. One thinks "taking him out" means a date, and the other gets the minor actor she dreams of. And of course, the turtle reserve for the farting turtle, that they build with the casino winnings.

Sounds likes all this could be funny? Guess again. They try to make it funny, but its not. Filming sequences aren't well done. I've seen better filming in Hong Kong movies. Visuals are average for a late 80s film. But the problem is that its a 2007 movie.

Not worth my time to ever watch this again. It still doesn't beat Danny Glover's "Out" movie from the early 80s as the worst movie of all time, but then again that film is in a class of its own. "F"

Great Pandemic Lock Down Entertainment
Call_me_Valerie12 January 2021
Horrible premise, horrible script, horrible production quality, better than horrible acting make this movie a must watch. I cannot believe the budget on this disaster of a film is estimated at $8,000,000. Is that Canadian? Pam and Denise are the only reason to watch this attempt at a movie. I will always wonder how films such as these get greenlit. Just horrible.

Having typed all that, it is a fun frolic to enjoy during the early 2020's pandemic lock down.

OMG the worst movie I have ever seen...
ealolj22 April 2008
Warning: Avoid this super duper awful movie...if you watched it you will be SOOOOOOOOO disappointed.

Pam and Denise are grandma age now what are they doing? Trying SO HARD to be young innocent and sexy, just not working AT ALL. Pam and Denise act so horribly in this movie.

Plus The script is absolutely atrocious, I can't believe someone can came out with such crappy ideas. With the development of movie industry, movie lovers are not as easy to satisfy as the ones in the last century. I bet the movie goers from last century will hate this too.

Stay away from it. I think watch "White Chicks" from 2004 it's so much better that this...make no mistake at that time I thought that's the worst movie I have ever seen.

Weak opening and silly humor, but somewhat amusing
Wuchakk15 October 2014
"Blonde and Blonder" (2007) stars Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards as two blonde bimbos who are mistaken for notorious assassins. They're chased by the FBI, the real assassins (two sharp brunettes) and others.

I personally find air-headed bimbos annoying and neither Anderson or Richards trip my trigger in this movie (on a physical level). Anderson was 39 and Richards 35 when it was shot, with Anderson looking past her expiration date. But they're likable enough as the ditzy blonds. The first 25-30 minutes were pretty bad with literally nothing striking me as funny or interesting, but then the duo meet the mob boss at the Beaver Patch (a so-called "gentleman's club") and the sequence was so over-the-top I couldn't help but laugh. The movie won me over, sorta, as I laughed both with it and at it.

Emmanuelle Vaugier and Meghan Ory play the assassins, Cat and Kit, dressed in tight black leather outfits practically the entire film. Vaugier in particular is effective.

The locations are good, shot in Los Angeles & Santa Clarita, CA, Niagara Falls and British Columbia. There's a boat chase at the end reminiscent of "Live and Let Die," albeit no where near as good.

"Blonde and Blonder" is only worthwhile if you like the stars and appreciate really dumb humor. Most of the jokes fall flat, but it's consistently fun & zany and without idiotic toilet humor, except for the farting turtle. The biggest problem is that the entire first act is weak and seriously tempts the viewer to tune-out, but if you can resist it you'll catch the groove and be amused, IF you like dippy humor.

The film runs 95 minutes.

Not particularly funny, but painless
gridoon202413 June 2010
Warning: Spoilers
There isn't really much to analyze about "Blonde And Blonder"; it's a forgettable comedy that offers few laughs, but at least it coasts along painlessly enough. Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards are OK, but the brightest moments come from the delicious duo of Emmanuelle Vaugier and Meghan Ory, playing two skintight-black-leather-clad assassins who love their work and are outraged when the dumb blondes of the title inadvertently threaten to steal their credit for super-efficient killing-for-hire. They are also pretty much the only characters in this movie with some brains, as everyone else - not just the title heroines - is, more or less, an idiot. In fact, a movie about Vaugier and Ory would most likely have been much better than "Blonde And Blonder"; but THIS movie could have been better too, if Pam and Denise did a lot more of what they did at exactly 1 hour and 24 minutes into it (don't want to ruin the surprise). ** out of 4.

Funny and Superficial. Girls relax, this movie is for guys.
coldfromsiberia7 October 2008
This movie is actually FUNNY! If you'd like to rest your brain for an hour so then go ahead and watch it. It's called blonde and blonder, so don't expect profound and meaningful jokes. What this movie and enjoy all the stereotypes we have about two blondes. It's just a funny movie to watch on a date or with a company of friends (especially if you're not too sober. Lol ) Pamela and Denise are still pretty hot chicks. It's a mistake to judge this movie as a piece of art. C'mon, this movie is about BLONDES! It's supposed to be light, funny and superficial. One more thing, I do not think that girls will appreciate and like this movie but guy definitely will.

I thought this would be rubbish, but actually, I quite liked it!
churchofsunshine14 September 2008
Pamela Anderson hasn't exactly set the world alight since the heady days of "Baywatch", and Denise Richard's career has pretty much gone in the same direction since "Starship Troopers", so with Anderson credited as executive producer as well as main star, the words "Be afraid. Be very afraid" were flashing inside my brain in great big neon forty-foot letters. The DVD was deep in the bargain basement bin in my local store, so I wasn't expecting much. It looked like it could be a laugh though. Mind you, Anderson is the wrong side of 40, and Richards is in her late thirties, both of whom playing characters who should really be played by much younger actresses in their early twenties.

It's not original - the girls think that "taking Mr Wong out" means taking him on a date and not doing a mob hit on him. That's about as sophisticated as it gets - Two dumb blondes who don't have a clue about what is going on around them. At least the writers avoid the use of too much toilet humour apart from the farting turtle, while most of the production money probably went on Anderson and Richards matching wardrobes and the final speedboat chase scene. What you're looking at here is basically a female version of "Dumb and Dumber". It'll never win any Oscars, but the fact they have already announced a sequel means that no matter what the critics thought, some people actually sat down and watched this film and it made a decent profit, so its clearly not all that rubbish. It helps if you switch your brain off, and if you do, you'll probably find that this film is a fair bit of fun. I do hope they re-cast some younger actresses for the sequel though. This is a franchise that could go somewhere. 6/10

Worser and Worser...
trunksbomb26 December 2008
What is this crap? My little cousin picked this out obviously for the overly girlie DVD art and title... I decided to watch it with her so she didn't get bored, and I sure was appalled at the horrible quality.

First, the acting was terrible. They seem like amateur actresses reading off of cue cards. The delivery is sub-par and very formulaic. Scene cuts were terrible.. it looks like they took it straight from the story board, if there was one.

Secondly, the jokes and stereotypes weren't original or well played at all- again, very formulaic. I can't count the times I was able to predict the next joke. I got a few chuckles out of the blatantly "subtle" sexual innuendos. The Cat, The Beaver Patch, Hung Wong?.. c'mon! Just.. stay away from this movie. It's not cute, it's not funny, it's not even stupid-funny. It's just stupid-stupid. It's like a PG kids' movie with unnecessary sexual innuendo, vulgarity, and violence to bump the MPAA rating. STAY AWAY.

"Would you like to ride my yacht?"

"Is that what they're calling it now?"

"You could ride my ding."

"Oh! I think I got blood on my stool!"

Badly played, sir.

Stunningly bad
gaspyy7 February 2009
I was looking for a cute, simple comedy to pass the time but choosing this film proved to be an enormous mistake.

I can't write a single good thing about it. First, the script is stupid and not funny at all, relying on tired, recycled jokes and a farting turtle for laughs. In my book, that's not funny, that's pathetic.

Low budget 'effects' (if I can even call them effects) with horrible cinematography. In many places it feels almost like an indie film shot with no money.

Acting... I feel sorry for the actors. Are Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards that desperate for some money that they've agreed to take part in this? (looking at their recent filmography, it would appear so.) Despite the outfits, Pamela is showing her age and as a whole, they don't even come across as sexy, let alone funny.

This movie is not even in the so-bad-it-is-funny category. It's just bad, as if everybody involved was sick of it.

Avoid.

Yeah, pretty dumb
bowmanblue9 December 2019
Nowadays, it seems like Hollywood has completely run out of ideas and is simply resorting to taking existing scripts and swapping the genders of the main characters. However, it looks like this has been a thing waaay before 'Ghostbusters 2016' and that 'Ocean's 11' film with Sandra Bullock. Here we see the script from 'Dumb and Dumber' (the original and - only - good one) get photocopied and Harry and Lloyd replaced by Dee and - er - another woman beginning with 'D' (yes, I even can't remember characters' names straight after watching the film.

Pamela Anderson (apparently not a natural blonde) and Denise Richards (definitely not a natural blonde - and, for some reason, her hair looks more 'light brown' than blonde!) star as a pair of - and there's no other real word for them - 'bimbos' who get caught up with assassins, mobsters and a suitcase full of cash, ala 'Dumb and Dumber.' The only problem is the one thing that doesn't seem to have been successfully been replicated is the humour.

Okay, so I smiled a few times here and there, but all the 'jokes' (notice the quote marks?) rely on the two leads misunderstanding another person's line of dialogue. Either that or simply falling over. It doesn't help that the two leads are hardly 'A-list' any more and, without wishing to be too hard on them, you can sort of see why.

Both Pam and Denise are a bit 'one note.' This film could probably have been a series of sketches contained in some late night TV show which showcases a string of exaggerated characters, rather than one long narrative.

There are plenty of reviews that give this film a terrible 'one star' rating. I think that's a bit unfair. It's definitely not great, but it's far from the worst film ever. If you know what you're getting (and you don't have to pay to watch this), you can sort of have it on in the background and chuckle occasionally while you check your phone for messages.

An unfunny comedy about nothing.
Maz-hell22 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I know comedy is subjective. This movie is not able to make me smile.

It was painfully slow and boring. The jokes got so prolonged they actually got tedious. the acting was horrid beyond comparison. The story made no sense. The music is bland.

Watch other movie. Seriously, unless you want to fall asleep.

Silly...
paul_haakonsen15 December 2015
Well, despite of the two billed cast members then "Blond and Blonder" does actually prove to be entertaining. So judging the book (or movie) by its cover is a bit premature. This isn't award-winning cinema, not by a long shot. What does make the movie semi-watchable is the blond jokes and funny situations.

The movie doesn't have any astounding acting performances, it is Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards after all. However, put together they do have good on-screen chemistry. You know what you will get from a movie such as this, and it delivers exactly that.

Silly jokes and blonde punchlines en mass, and you have "Blonde and Blonder". It is worth a watch if you have absolutely nothing else and need to pass an hour and a half.

I am rating "Blonde and Blonder" a four out of ten stars for the silly comedy and blonde jokes.

A piece of plagiarism
len_ginz8414 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I was required to watch the movie for my work, so I didn't pay for it (on the contrary, i got paid), but I still found the movie to suck far more than average. The jokes were lame, the two lead actresses... well, to use the "First wives club" division of women's ages in Hollywood, they are no longer in their "hot chick" age but more in their "district attorney" age. What angered me most about the movie was the main plot line, which pretty much completely plagiarized "Beavis & Butthead Do America" (in which the boys are all jazzed up about some dude offering them money to "do his wife", not realizing they're expected to assassinate her). All in all, a bland piece of crap.

Bland and blander
alexpeychev7 November 2021
Blonde and Blonder was, simply put, unfunny. Basically, it was a rip-off girl version of Dumb and Dumber, but less funny, and they used too much background noises and music. Way too much background noises and music that were completely unnecessary to rely on laughs, if you ask me. It starts out immensely boring and it does not pick up pace anywhere soon, and I was feeling more frustrated as this nonsense carried on.

sandcrab27718 May 2019
These two blondes, anderson and richards would definitely draw a monster crowd with their clothes off and have screwed their way around hollywood so the only thing left is to have fun while acting like dumb blondes ... we all know they are not only good to look at but have smarts as well so this is a fun picture and nothing else so go with the flow

Don't watch if you want a Oscar winning performance!
terryvey11 November 2011
I watched this going into the movie knowing it was going to be dumb. The title says it all how does anyone expect anything different is beyond me.Since it is two major stars and I never heard of the movie.i did not expect Oscar type of a performance(neither of these two could have ever been mistaken for great acting ability in the past) So with that in mind I sat down and relaxed and enjoyed the movie. Not the best written.Just plain and downright funny. Some of the jokes are lame. These two are so dumb it makes ya wonder how they got through life!yet the story is good enough to say I wanna see the end! I read many of the reviews on here and the overall thing is that many expected way to much from this movie.Plain and simple it is meant to entertain and this movie does the job!

I liked it
LuckyFour-LeafClover19 February 2023
I wouldn't call myself a Pamela Anderson fan but I do like her as a person. Shes smarter than people think. Denise Richards I used to like back in the day as well. They are both very cute in this movie together.

The plot is similar to Beavis and Butthead Do America and Dumb and Dumber. A duo oblivious to a lot of the regular world around them while some gangsters want them dead. But yeah somehow it works. I think Pam and Denise were charming in this. They did not come off as promiscuous women either despite still both looking good.

It's not very deep but I liked it. I think it deserves a better than 2.8 score.

The first 20 minutes were a slog, but the overall premise of this movie is fun, and it doesn't take itself seriously. Not bad for killing a little time and boredom!
