A Groundbreaking Work of "Limited" Means
pdx36914 June 2008
Let's cut to the chase: the plot summary sums up the core of the film. Most of the characters are barely fleshed out (which is to be expected in a film running under 30 minutes), and the storyline, though intriguing, is far from revolutionary. The whole of the experience is how the film was made, comprised of almost nothing but digital still pictures, some minimal CGI, and the "photomation" process which makes the entire experience akin to walking through a comic book. If you're not someone who enjoys subtitles and/or science fiction, you may not enjoy this film. Beyond those facts, this is 24 minutes worth spending, if for no other reason than to open up the possibilities of what anyone can do with some patience, imagination, and a digital camera. A definite must for anyone who enjoys the experimental side of film making.
