Too Little Too Late
Johnny_West6 May 2020
The last three episodes of this series finally had some action, but it was too little too late. The only reason I binge-watched was due to "shelter in place." Otherwise, I would have given up on this series during the first boring season.

The last episode has the same dreary hopeless themes as always. Spawn knocked up his ex-wife by raping her when he took the form of her husband. One shot and now she is pregnant with Hell-Baby. Apparently that story was ripped from The Prophecy movies, and even the title of this episode is "The Prophecy."

Jade, who for some insane reason fell in love with Spawn, must die now because she failed to kill Spawn. Another happy day in the life of Spawn.

Twitch finally remembers who tried to kill him, and he and his gay Detective partner go off to seek revenge. Very predictable stuff. Twitch is beyond creepy, and his relationship with his Detective should require them to rent a room.

Thank God Spawn is over. It was pretty bad stuff, and while the action improved over the last three episodes, hearing Spawn whine and complain about his life, Wanda, etc. Was ponderous. I was elated when the final episode came to an end.
