What an Excellent Series this looks to be
canterburyarms22 October 2006
I couldn't resist watching episode 2 on E4 I think it is going to be a hit series despite what the critics may think.

Speaking to others everyone is of the opinion it is great . Can't wait for things to develop. I have read the reviews and they have obviously not enjoyed it as much as I did.

I have to say I wish the papers would stop referring to Jaime Winstone as tough-man Ray Winstones Daughter she was fantastic and is an actress in her own right. so unfair to refer to her dad.

David Scjofield plays the part of John White just as I would have expected White to be. Beth. Cassidy and The boys are great I really liked what I saw.

The 3 Bitchy Blondes Were So funny I hope they do the running commentary all the way through.

These people really exist and despite what the reports may say the series looks more true to life than they think.

I wish all the cast and crew a successful series I am sure once the normal folk get into the show they will love it and it will be up in the realms of Badgirls , and footballers wives.

Did anyone notice the goldfish in a glass

Did anyone else noticed that in episode 4 when Jacqui (drama teacher) poured a glass of wine to console herself when she thought Darren had dumped her there was a goldfish in the glass!! I had taped this episode (as I didn't want to miss any of this brilliant drama) so I could rewind and look again and there is definitely a goldfish in her glass.

I think all the actors are very good but I think Kelly Harrison really stands out as an excellent actress her transition from Nicki in Casualty to Cassidy in Goldplated is amazing.

The 3 bitchy blonds are a nice lighthearted touch and give this drama a slight comedy touch. All round this is an excellent drama and well worth watching.

Goldplated

Well I vote on 2, because I've seen worse in Latina telenovela; but Goldplated is not at all the kind of series I'll able to follow on TV; I can't stand the universe where the series is settled, and there isn't one character or two I can cope with. And I really don't understand what people can find new and casual in this series. It's not even Cheap & Chic, and the plot doesn't worth anything. The actors are actually not that bad, but the characters are merely unbearable, in particular John White, the sanguine and tyrannic head of the Whites family, very close to ignominious JR in America's Dallas. I won't advise, even to my enemies, to watch this series, and I really understand the critics who give a tough opinion about it.
