This is the Wiggles Christmas video to be released.
Prior to being featured in this video and the accompanying album, The Wiggles covers of "Rudolf The Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Here Come Santa Claus" were being performed at the group's appearances in the "Carols In The Domain" concerts. The latter mentioned song makes its video debut and would go on to be used in "The Spirit of Christmas" compilation album in 1998. In fact, some of the song clips such as "Go Santa Go" were originally recorded in 1996 to promote the group's Christmas album.
The 1999 release was more successful than the 1997 release, as it was released in markets outside Australia, broadcasted as a movie on Playhouse Disney in America, released on VCD in 2003, and uploaded on YouTube as part of Classic Wiggles in November 2018 and on WildBrain's channel starting on December 23rd, 2021. It was uploaded on November 24, 2023 with Here Comes Santa Claus, Feliz Navidad and Wiggly Christmas Medley removed (due to royalty concerns) despite being mentioned in the description.
This is the first Wiggles video to feature the Wiggle's the new skivvy design, which now have their group logos (previously debuted on the original front cover of The Wiggles: Wiggledance! (1997) on their shirts.
The scene of the Wiggles, Santa Claus and Henry the Octopus building a sandcastle on the beach is actually a re winded footage of them tearing down a sandcastle.
