Actor David Henry appears about 5 mins into this third show of season ten, as the unnamed wedding photographer. This gives a nice insular feeling to Midsomer, as he had only just appeared in the first show of season ten, Dance with the Dead; as a retired photography buff Eric Usher.
This episode is a pastiche of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The references pile up through out the episode. A son is angry because his mother married his uncle a few months after his father's death. Cully is in a local production of the play.
Susan Tracy plays Hilary King in this episode. She previously played the role of Felicity Gamelin in episode 1.5, Death in Disguise (1998).
In Alan King's sketchbook he wrote 'companies assets'. As a teacher he would know the correct spelling would be 'company's assets' since there was only one company, King's Crystal.
Tony Haygarth plays Tweesom in the episode having played Jack Napier in Season 4s Destroying Angel. He would later appear in Rare Bird.
