Sick Dude!
mitchrmp13 July 2016
This is the second episode on Howard Epps, a serial killer who was introduced in the first season. Howard is again on death roe for killing three people. Another victim has been found, which just may lead them to more questions. We learn that since the last episode, Howard is married. Why anyone would marry him is beyond my comprehension, but it happens...

Brennan is played by Epps (and is played by other killers in the future). She helps Booth try to figure out who's doing the latest killings. The results has life-changing effects for Brennan. There is a very sweet scene at the end where Booth is loving making Brennan come to terms with what she did.

There is one more episode on this story line, I believe it's later in this season. Get ready, because it's pretty sick!

What Can You Do?
Hitchcoc18 January 2023
There are so many problems with a guy like Epps being a villain. He already has a death sentence, so the rest of his life is like a game. He is married to woman who is basically clueless, no visible self-esteem. She visits and she becomes his connection to the outside, where a guy is doing his dirty work. His victims are beautiful, young, athletic blonde women. But his game is to manipulate Brennan and mess up her life. If he could now be kept from having outside contact, his powers are significantly diminished. Does the game mean anything? They could just stay away and ruin his fun. Brennan ends up with something she will have to reconcile.

Hi, your daddy is a monster Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this episode! The case this week was interesting and I honestly didn't know who Epps' accomplice was the first time I watched it.

That said, the creep dial was turned UP this episode, between Epps saying that he'll think of Bones when he "makes his donation at the baby bank" 🤢, the whole "there is no such thing as an innocent women" thing, and... really just Epps in general. As far as Epps acting like a boyfriend to Bones, I wholeheartedly disagree. He was acting like a stalker who thinks that they love someone but really just want to control them (or in this case maybe murder them with his creepy serial killer hands).

We also had his wife Caroline. Yeesh, that lady needs a hug (or perhaps someone to slap some sense into her). It's clear that Epps used her and I honestly felt kinda bad for her in the end, she seemed SO lonely. Good on Angela for showing her some compassion during their scene.

Things to note: Why did they have Angela do multiple drawings of what Epps might have looked like, did they not have any old photos of him? No mug shots from when he was arrested? Booth calling Epps "Howie" was great. The Hodgins and Angela vibes this episode were just *chefs kiss* fantastic. And I would sell my soul for someone to give me a tiny pig named Jasper.

A line I loved: What kind of boyfriends have you had. 👀

Hi the Bones Booth :)

Howard epps is back
Lythas_8511 April 2021
Dude is back and he was the first bad guy of the show.. unfortunately in the first season he was featured only on 1 episode because the lost parents arc was more important. Well, he's back in his creepy way and now he's married. Go figure what kind of girl would marry such a man.

The episode didn't have much ups and downs besides the obvious cliche that Castle had to certain extent which is to go into strange place alone without backup so the writers are able to write convenient plots like in this case was Bones killing a guy to save Booth.

The last scene was great. Not an all time best like A soldier in the grave and that other one with booth and bones visiting her mother's grave.

"Jasper"? Should've named the pig "Hamate" (wrist bone}

Good episode with lots of twists. Given the context, I'm surprised they didn't name the pig Hamate (after the wrist/hand bones) instead of Jasper........................................................

Hey Bones Booth!

The return of Howard Epps!!! I agree Bones pigs are a great pet. I grew up with them and have 3 on the farm they're awesome. Hodgy is not a good nickname lol but yyayy I love their storyline im excited to see it begin. Bones line "He touched me with his creepy serial killer hands" was hilarious. You know those crime scene photos Booth is trading for information are going straight into Epps "spank bank" ugh. I can't understand people who fall in love with and get married to people in prison especially serial killers. Yes there should be a cost to killing someone justified or not. Awww Booth with Jasper at the end.
