Impressive.

What can I say, other than Robin Hood is really getting into its stride now? It is amazing how far they have moved on since Episode 1. The swordplay, especially towards the end, was neat for a budget of £8 million (yes, it wasn't great, but at least they tried with the fancy swordplay and £8m isn't much in the film industry), there was a sense of mystery and fear in it thanks to the presence of a strange mask (but this is all revealed at the end of the episode) and Robin Hood is starting to become more aware of its links to the Crusades, and Djaq is starting to become one of the key points in this series. The humour at the end is weak, and the underwater filming at the start is dodgy, but Robin Hood is really getting far better now, and is starting to cross from light-hearted drivel to meaningful viewing territory now. I am looking forward to the climax of this series... 9/10

Harold wearing camouflage?
Kelewyn25 December 2007
I'm starting to really like this show. It does seem though that the budget is low with poor effects and inaccurate costuming.

Furthermore the worst I've seen is Harold and his camouflage pants. How did they miss that?

I do like the show however and I understand they strive more on the comedic aspect but would like it to appear a bit more realistic for the era.

There seems to be a lot of costuming issues now that I look back at the episodes I've seen.

Such as Robin's hooded outfits, they really don't appear right for the time either.

I do think that with all the medieval weapons and fighting there might be more violence, however maybe they are trying to make the show more family friendly?

Such as how Robin rarely kills?

Fantastic Series

Warning: Spoilers
I'm really enjoying this series. This episode in particular is a fantastic one. It addresses a common modern problem- almost too well. Giving Harold modern US camouflage pants? Tucking the pants into black leather boots? This ruined the episode for me. I've worn that uniform, and fought that enemy. Its inclusion in 1192 is anachronistic at best, and poor taste to boot. The message of the episode would have been much better achieved if Harold had worn common clothing for a Crusader under King Richard. Brown pants. Tan pants. Anything but Gulf War-era camouflage. Robin praising Much for just listening is wonderful, as is the collaboration between Djac and Much in the care of Harold. If it were not for the pants issue, this episode would have received a 10/10 from me.
