Intriguing Show...
bronzesrv25 October 2018
I actually enjoy watching this show a lot, there's only 22 Episodes,. 10 episodes the first season, 10 episodes the second season, and two episodes the third season. There was no third episode to the third season because the show got cancelled. Just like cold cases take forever to be solved sometimes, I feel this show didn't run long enough to give enough time for cases to be solved. Many other people loveed this show, yet so many were Skeptics with so much negativity! The show was cancelled so quickly even though the ratings were great! I feel had the show ran longer, there would have been more cases solved! I believed the psychic, medium and paranormal investigator were authentic and really did have certain gifts. I've known quite a few cases that were sincerely solved by psychics, unfortunately there are a lot of phonies out there to where the real ones don't get much attention at all or were given a chance. I already researched that two cases out of the 22 were solved, it would have been nice to have follow-ups to these cases but again how could they since the show was cancelled.

Very intriguing show

Haunting Evidence is a show in which a psychic profiler (Carla Baron), medium (John J Oliver) and a paranormal expert (Patrick Burns) combine their talents to study cold cases. The ultimate goal is to find new clues, turn them into warm cases, and hopefully assist in making an arrest, thus closing the case.

The fascinating aspect is watching these experts of their crafts find out things that investigators previously hadn't known. Carla for example will sense that maybe a body had been dragged where nobody thought prior, or she'll say that she believes the perpetrator has already been interviewed. What I liked even more was when Carla and John were separated, but they both had similar thoughts about a case.

I heard that their work did lead to cases getting re-opened and at least one case had been solved.

However, if there is a reason I did not give this show 10 stars, it is because there were no follow-ups and we did not get closure. It was reassuring to know that police would now have new leads to investigate, but I believe this show would have been more successful if they'd taken it a step further and shown people outcomes (or at least more ) about what was done with their leads. I personally wanted to see police go back and knock on some more doors; it would have been really rewarding to see an arrest and see a case officially closed.

That said, I do still rate this show very highly because the episodes are truly insightful and fascinating. I see other shows such as Ghost Hunters, but most are just not as intriguing as Haunting Evidence. Part of my personal infatuation is that I like learning about the cold cases and I did learn about cases I'd never heard of. The show makes me want to help solve the cases to the point where I'd like to call up a local sheriff just to see if anything further has been done, and ask if they need help. Of course I'm not qualified, but that's the impact the show had on me.

The episodes are not available via Netflix, but I did call (on June 4, 2012) and asked if they could be made available.

In the interim, you might want to check out http://www.trutv.com/shows/haunting_evidence/index.html. You can follow Carla Baron facebook and both her and Patrick Burns are on twitter; I haven't found John J Oliver (on twitter ). Also create a season pass (on your DirecTV DVR ) for Haunting Evidence and keep an eye out for upcoming episodes. :)
