This will be the fourth review that I have made for this show, but I haven't touched up on one thing yet, the flashbacks. I really enjoy the story telling that comes with the flashbacks of when Shawn was young at the start of every episode. Helps show the viewers his friendship with Gus in a more civil matter, his budding but still admiration for his father when he was young, and most of all, how he gets his skills. Makes his cases feel earned, and makes his character a actually fleshed out proagonist that isn't just some know it all. I love how Shawn's character just becomes even more alive as a result of that.
