Quotes:
[Paris talking to a woman who signed her daughter up for Paris' SAT prep class]
Paris: She's got a C average which means she's either lazy or stupid. I can work with either. Frankly sometimes stupid is easier. I can scare the stupid out of you, but the lazy runs deep.

Can you really tell the difference?, 2 October 2006
8/10
Author: Leandro Dubost from Brazil

I don't know why but a lot of people is complaining about this episode, that it just feels 'wrong', 'off', etcetera... That the Gilmore girls are acting weird or dumb and that the dialog is not witty anymore, just fast. And those peoples usually say that the reason for all that is the absence of this show creator, the dramedy genius Amy Sherman-Palladino. OK, it felt 'weird' the first time I watched it, but mostly because I missed the Palladinos. But then I tried to answer me: why? I don't know! Then I watched this episode again and EUREKA, doesn't feel weird anymore. I believe there's no problem with the writing. Can you tell the difference between Palladino and Rosenthal (the new writer) here, really? I guess not! Rosenthal wrote a feel episodes for the sixth season and I doubt anyone felt they were 'wrong', 'off' and even 'etcetera...'. It's just too early to tell if this 'new' Gilmore Girls is going to work and if Season 7 is going to be good or bad. But the first episode was good, the jokes were great and the dialogs on par with the Paladino's style. I think it's time for some fans to move on. To give the Palladinos-era a 'goodbye'. Won't be easy but I bet David S. Rosenthal can help us! Anyhow, won't be easy nor good. But quoting Rory this episode: 'there's nothing good about a goodbye.'
