About this Anime
only_anime25 June 2006
This Anime is quite funny! It's very original, I have never seen such a show! Truthfully, it does not have anything inappropriate, as many people reported it to be. So that should be a big weight lifted off your shoulders! What this show does include is romance and comedy (heavier on the comedy), and I suggest it to people who love those two genres. The author of the graphic novel, (which started this in the first place) had created a plot that is irresistibly funny! What it's about (mainly): How a scholarship student named Haruhi has to pay off a debt that she owes to her school's very own Host Club. And the story just builds off that. Ouran High School Host Club is wonderful for teens who like a bit of romance, and I think it may be better suited for females.

Very unexpectedly enjoyable anime!!
jake-law12319 August 2012
This is one anime that I never expected myself to watch. My girlfriend and her girlfriends went crazy about this anime. I took one look at it, and decided it wasn't my thing. Looked like the most girl thing in the world.

Later, I was randomly on IMDb.com, and I bumped into this show. I took a look at the story, and it was actually kind of cool. So I downloaded the entire show in English dubbed. It was 12:30 p.m. And I watched the first episode. It was one of the funniest things I have ever watched! It had hilarious and awesome characters, a clever story, amazing animation, and so on. After that, I watched the 2nd episode, then the 3rd, then the 4th. At that point it was pretty late in the day and I decided to only watch up to the half way point. When I got there, I couldn't stop, so I decided to watch a few more episodes. On episode 20 I said "forget it". Next thing I know it's 6 a.m and I finished the last episode.

It literally came out of nowhere by how much I loved it. In one day, it became my second favorite anime, (1st being DBZ). Everything about it is so cool. Not just for girls either, it's got some pretty hilarious guy humor as well.

The story is pretty clever. During scholarship student Haruhi Fujioka's first day at Ouran Academy Private School, she "accidentally" joins a host club full of six male gentlemen, (all mistaking her for a guy) from a direct cause of her knocking over an 8,000,000 yen vase. After realizing her true gender at the end of the episode, they continue to have her serve as a host to pay the debt with her guy appearance and personality. The rest of the show is pretty much her tasting the life of rich people, while they taste the life of poor people.

There's a bit more in the mangas, but I really don't care for them to be honest. Though I must say this is one anime that I enjoyed 100%. Very good and well made anime that is definitely worth checking out. Whether you're a guy or a girl, this should be enjoyable.

I watched all of the episodes of this series! NO spoilers

Warning: Spoilers
Ouran High School Host Club is a funny series that shows different emotions that can happen or really shows love for each other. To me... I liked this series I more of recommend the TV series rather than the books, but then the books sometimes are better with details and since they are the first things created I would use both! IF you don't want to buy the series just go to YouTube.com and watch them there even though they are in Japanese they have subtitles and i think(to me) the voices in Japanese are what really fit them! I really recommend this series to people who like comedy or stuff related to that i guess. I hope this helps you know that this TV series is really kool!

Fantastically Entertaining Teen Anime
west_cavallo11 September 2007
This is by far one of the most enjoyable animes i've seen in a long time. Following the popular idea of a girl having to pretend to be a guy at school, the show follows Haruhi, a 'commoner' at an elite school for the rich and powerful. After breaking an expensive vase, she must pay off the debt by working as a host in a club created to entertain girls. However, to do this, she must keep up the pretence that she is a guy. The plot lines are hilarious, with moments of sadness or sweetness thrown in. There are a few taboo-ish themes, like homosexuality, incest and rape, but they are dealt with in a non-confrontational manner, so it is unlikely a conservative viewer would be particularly offended by anything.

Particularly of note are the characters and their development throughout the series as we learn more about them. In the club is the 'Lord', Tamaki, a perceptive, empathetic leader who often comes across as a bit of an idiot (but there is more to him than meets the eye); Hikaru and Kaoru, the mischievous, incestuous twins who use their closeness to appeal to girls; Kyoya, the money-minded, enigmatic shadow-lord; Hunny, the loli-shota obsessed with sweets, and his loyal friend Mori, a silent, stoic type. Haruhi herself is bookish and immune to the charms of the guys, yet becomes entangled in a (very light) love-triangle, which is vaguely resolved by the end of the series. It's easy to relate to and fall in love with all of the characters, and OHSHC is one of the rare shows where you find yourself caring about every character, not just a few.

I would recommend OHSHC to anyone above the age of 13. It seems like a show aimed more at girls, but I gave it to my brother to watch and he loved it. I haven't read the manga (yet), so I can't compare; also, I hear that there will soon be an American-dub version released. As American dubs are notorious for their censorship, i have no idea how that might change the show (probably for the worse), so i'd recommend going and watching the original Japanese version with subtitles: the voice acting is pitch-perfect!

The best anime I've watched in a long time...
broadway_melody_girl14 August 2007
This anime is the tops. I have never seen a shoujo anime that I have enjoyed as much as Host Club since I saw Fruits Basket. Do yourself a favor and buy the DVDs of it, plus the manga. You will not be sorry, especially if you're a shoujo fan, or even if you aren't one...the characters are so vibrant, cute and fun that anyone, yes even a non-anime fan would fall in love with the Host Club. Outrageous, dashing, handsome, and idiotic Prince Tamaki, the crazy Hitachiin brothers (who put on a fake incest act that the girls seem to love??), Kaoru and Hikaru, Cute Momiiji Sohma-like Hunny, Mori, the silent strong host, and my absolute favorite and the HOTTEST host...cool and evil Kyoya, the "shadow prince" of the club. Haruhi, the heroine is refreshing, because way too many shoujo heroines are too bright and bubbly and in-your-face, Haruhi is calm and practical. I really hope they bring Host Club to America and dub it, but for now, watch Host Club any way you can, this series is too too amazing to miss!!!

Absolutely Unmissable Anime
cassydog200022 June 2007
This is without a doubt the best anime I have seen so far. It's in the romance/comedy genre and is full of some of the funniest characters ever! Haruhi is a "commoner" scholarship student who enters elite Ouran High School, where lineage is second only to wealth, and becomes indebted to the Host Club, six male students who let the female students of Ouran enjoy their company. They each take the role of a certain "character" to entertain the girls; The prince, the loli-shota, the cool type, the silent type and the "brotherly-love" twins. Needless to say, hilarity ensues.

The plot is mainly light and fluffy, but touches on lesbianism, twincest and severely obnoxious people. Personally, I think it would be absolutely fine for anybody aged 12 or above, as none of these heavy themes are dealt with clearly. One can take what one wants from it.

I urge anyone who enjoys anime to watch this, as it will certainly raise more than a few laughs.

Yes I'm a guy, and yes... I LOVED IT!

Warning: Spoilers
Truth be told, when I first looked it up, I figured it would be another sad teen series. Boy was I wrong. This series was a true comedy of errors, every joke was spot on, every character was well played, every episode a feast for story lovers and comedy lovers everywhere. Haruhi, in my opinion, has to be my favorite character of them all. She's smart, interesting, and a perfectly thought out character when it comes to the situation she's in. I also love seeing her interactions with the 'rich bastards' that are always looking out for her in this strange, yet oh so fun, high school. If you have the chance (even if you're a guy) watch this. It's a great experience that won't fail to satisfy... now if they could only make more episodes, THEN I would be truly happy.

I personally like this show.... And this is why.
Jescilyne6 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Well, I have to say, this anime was very good. Funny, and slightly disturbing, to tell you the truth. A couple of the characters are slightly perverted.

(Slight spoilers here) Haruhi is a girl (actually mistaken for a guy as far as I've watched) that goes to Ouran High School, a place full of rich kids. She got in through a special scholarship, making her unusual in the school. While looking for a place to study, she goes into an empty music room. In this room, she found her school's host club, a group of handsome guys wanting to "bring fortune to the ladies"... They have a guy for each type. There's the "king," Tamaki, the "cool-type," Kyouya, the "little devils," Hikaru and Kaoru (twins), the "loli-shota," Mitsukuni (aka Mitsukuni), and the "cool-type," Takashi (aka Mori). Haruhi trips, after meeting these men, and knocks over a vase, which promptly breaks, causing her to become the slave of these men. However, she becomes more popular with the men, and they decide (after a slight makeover... *cough*) that she should become a host like them. So she soon gets customers (ladies, thinking she is male) and in this way, she pays back the money she owes for breaking the vase. *end spoilers*

I liked this show a lot. The guys not only show acceptance to the weird kid, (funny, seeing as most shows show that the weird kids are picked on the most by the popular rich kids) but they also enjoy her company, respect her in every since of the word, and are loyal and protective (which could be a bad thing in Tamaki's way). The characters are all different, and yet the same. The story, although the theme is "Haruhi must act as a guy to repay a debt," they show that after a while, the guys of the Host Club (with the exception of Kyouya) don't really care for the debt, and like hanging out with Haruhi better.

Ouran High
katter_pillar21 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This show follows the life of 7 young teenagers attending a private school for wealthy and elite children. The heroine and main character of the show, Fujioka Haruhi, is a lower middle class girl attending the school on a scholarship. She is forced into joining the Host Club to pay off a debt after breaking an expensive vase. The characters become closer as they share memorable experiences and discover hidden feelings.

The show presents beautiful scenes of animation and hilarious plots and story lines. You will easily fall in love with the characters and become addicted to this series. The whole thing is a visual masterpiece and the music and voice actors are awesome. It is definitely worth the time and money.

Brilliant character driven anime with extreme second season potential if I ever saw one.
soloriamagic088 April 2009
Warning: Spoilers
This is a masterpiece of an anime, and I'm very picky about the anime I watch so for those words to come out of my mouth is saying something. It's 26 episodes of pure genius. Okay, 25 episodes with one w.t.f. ending, but I'll rant on that later. This is a character driven show more than anything because plot wise its stupid as hell, but the brilliant characters save this show ten times over. It's about seven friends that are members of a high school host club in a prestigious, filthy rich school. This host club entertains women; however, one of the host is a women. She's the main character and the other characters antics are mostly seen from her eyes. Haruhi is a poor student on an academic scholarship. She's intelligent, assertive, nice, practical, calm, and the real cincher not a scantily clad b*tch or a vomit inducing marysue. When you have 99% of anime's featuring females being damsels in distresses to the point that you want to puke, and then when a rare anime comes along with the main female character being as far from a mary-sue that you can get, you get a bit giddy. Anyway, she looks like a boy because of an incident involving her hair and gum, and she joins the host club at first out of being forced. She broke an expensive vase and to pay of her debt she joins as a male. Of course the others find out which is humorous in itself. However, her being forced to put up with these rich fools, and their insane antics changes and everyone becomes more than best friends. They become a family.

This anime is very humorous, very witty, but knows when to get serious when it calls for it. The main characters are each different and bring their own personality and back-stories to the table. The music is catchy and the animation is nice to look at. The show makes fun of every Japanese cliché in the book even within the main characters and amusedly so. However, the downside of this anime is the ending. You don't make a brilliant character driven show like this and end it like that. If a show ever needed a season two this is one of those shows. Trust me. There is a manga, but once you've seen these wonderful characters voiced and animated and all their adorable, sad, and romantic antics come to life a manga cannot fill that void. Believe me once you finish being peeved off like I was at the unfulfilling ending, and then it slowly sinks in that there is not going to be another season to resolve it, the withdrawal symptoms hurt and they hurt bad lol. In all seriousness though this anime is d*mn near perfect, and even though the ending left me wanting I don't regret watching this show and its extremely endearing characters one bit.

Way better than I expected!
MissLaurelle23 October 2013
This is the silly story of a smart but poor girl by the name of Haruhi that is accepted into a prestigious high-class high school due to her grades. One day she happens to walk into the room where the Host Club takes place (Host Club is a group of good looking men that spend their time pleasing women and making them happy). Haruhi accidentally then breaks a vase and it is decided that she will have to work at the host club to repay her debt (since she can't afford to pay for it).

The thing is the men in the host club don't realize that Haruhi is a girl at first due to her attire and short hair. So basically the story revolves around her working at the host club as a guy trying to repay her debt.

To me, the story seemed somewhat kind of lame but it is the sub-story in each episode that is so interesting and fun to watch. Slowly as the episodes go by, you learn about every character and each one is different with their own special story and personality. At times I'd have to say it's a bit over the top ridiculous but it is a light anime that will get you in a good mood. One thing I was happy about was the ending!

To me this is an anime you watch when you want to be cheered up. It's not something that will get you hooked but you'll find yourself coming back to it every so often for the laughs.

Worth watching!

Well...
orangejuice-816787 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't like this anime much. I stopped watching around episode 11. Kaoru and Hikaru seemed incestuous. Mitsukuni acted like a little kid. I don't understand why girls in this anime would simp over them acting like that. Haruhi was okay, I guess. She kind of lacked reaction at times which made her a bit boring. It kind of made me cringe when she got scared of thunder and hid. Tamaki is dramatic at times. Some of the characters in here are good looking. I'm talking about Kyoya and Takashi. To be honest, Kyoya and Tamaki made me cringe at times when they would be like "mommy" and "daddy." There's most likely some other things I didn't like that I'm leaving out, but you probably understand my point. I'm glad I stopped watching this. I regret the time I did spend watching this though.

A series for girls that boys can enjoy too.
Tweekums20 September 2009
When I saw this series was available to watch legally on line on Funimation's YouTube channel I recalled that a friend had mentioned enjoying it so I decided to give it a go. As soon as the opening credits started I thought I might have made a mistake it was all pink and flowery and clearly not made for men, I decide to watch the first episode anyway to see what it was like. I'm glad I did as I found myself really enjoying it and over the next few days watched the remaining twenty five episodes.

The series opens with Haruhi, a new scholarship girl at the prestigious Ouran Academy looking for a quiet room to study in. She looks into Music Room #3 where she is surprised to find a group of boys, the eponymous Host Club. One thing leads to another and Haruhi accidentally breaks an antique vase, as she doesn't have the eight million yen required to pay for it she is told she must join the Host Club... to do this she must pass herself off as a boy as the club's purpose it to provide male company to the girls of the academy. With her short hair and small chest she manages to pass for a boy although her femininity isn't lost on the boys.

At first the boys of the club seen frivolous, being fascinated by Haruhi's commoner lifestyle the take to drinking her exotic instant coffee and do things as daring as going to the supermarket. In return they think nothing of taking Haruhi with them when they go off to a private resort during the summer holidays. As the episodes progress the boys seem less selfish as we learn why they are the way they are, by the end when things appear to be going badly for them it is genuinely sad.

While there is nothing really offensive in the series some people might be disturbed by two of the boys who act like a couple... the potential problem is that they are identical twins. Personally I thought it was funny, after all it is just an act for the girl's amusement. Even though this series is clearly aimed at girls I'd recommend it to anybody wanting a funny character driven series.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

The Anti- O.C.
barciad20 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I have waited a very long time for a show like this to come around. One that took just about every cliché from just about ever poncy, prancy, self-important high school drama ever made, and then urinated all over them for all the world to see. For starters it is set in an unimaginably rich and exclusive school, where as it states that entrance is based on:- 1) Great wealth 2) Great families. That somehow a poor student from a humble background is, well, only to be expected then. So far, so normal. But everything, especially, the animation shows you that something is amiss here. What we in fact have is a kind of dig at the upper classes and their infactuation with the lower classes that Oscar Wilde or P.G. Woodhouse would have understood. Tamaki (the most predominant of the rich students) could almost be described as coming from a very English line of clueless, yet lovable young aristocrats. The sort whose great monies have usually hid his many clear failings, yet is really what you would have once described as 'a decent sort'. I.e. he means well, and ultimately that enough sees him through whatever difficulty he may have got himself into this time. Not for a second does this show truly take itself seriously, yet, through that do you really get to understand and get to love all the characters on show. I could go on for hours about each of them and what makes them so good, but my advice is watch it for yourself and enjoy what you've been missing.

A really teen oriented anime show
zzaman-15 July 2006
This show tackles many social problems in a teenagers life nowadays. The first dozen episodes explains and dissects the characters for the audience and also creates some mini plots in the series that they elaborate on later. A few topics of taboo they encounter is, Lesbians, incest, rape, bullying, love triangles and gender oriented problems. No show in North America covers these things, yet maybe they do , but for me its too subtle. If America or Canada do make a show this risqué for kids then , wow! I kind of like Japanese animation better than what N.A. does.

But not all of the ones listed are taken very seriously, so it keeps the environment light and comedic. Great show even if I'm watching it from the other side of the planet. July, 5 2006 Ontario, Canada.

My new favorite romantic comedy
WeAreLive31 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
At the ultra prestigious Ouran High School, Haruhi Fujioka looks for a quiet place to read and walks into an unused music room, and accidentally stumbles across the notorious Ouran High School Host Club, a group of boys who entertain the girls of the school for profit. When Haruhi accidentally breaks an expensive vase belonging to the wacky Host Club, she is made to serve under them until her debt is paid off. Haruhi is soon made a Host, but in order to pay off what she owes, she must continue to allow the Host Club's customers to believe she is a boy.

The anime has a really hilarious spectrum towards. Some episodes can get a bit stupid but other then that it still has a good story.

The dub cast is amazing including Vic Mignogna, Caitlin Glass, Travis Willingrahm, Luci Christian and J. Tatum were all top notch. Fun fact for fullmetal alchemist fans Tamaki and Haru are both voiced by the same actors who did Edward Elric and Winry Rockbell. Screw funimation for kicking out a key voice actor over a baseless allegation.

I also loved the music they added. It really suited the nature of the anime.

Overall if you want to have a good slice of life romance i recommend this.

Ouran High School Host Club is one of the best animes I have seen to date.
xlissyxboomx15 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the first animes I had ever watched- I do not regret it!

**SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT**

It is about how Haruhi Fujioka, a "Commoner" in the eyes of the school, has to pay off an 8,000,000 Yen debt to a host club, including an idiot "king" called Tamaki Suoh, who's quirky attitude masks his sad past, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin (My favourite characters), using their bond as twins to perform what's commonly known as "Twincest" (best part of the anime xD), Minskuni Haninozuka (Honey) and Takashi Morinozuka (Mori), who's family's are experts in martial arts, and Kyoya Ootori, who's knowledge and funding skills hold the host club together. She must play the role of a male, due to her boyish appearance and attitude fooling the Host Club for a short time into believing she is of the opposite gender. Later in the series, she is the subject of a love triangle. This, however, is resolved in the finale. Speaking of the finale, any TamaHaru shippers may flip tables in rage, but i'll leave you to find out why.

With it's characters comes an incredible cast- I've seen both Dub and Sub and honestly prefer the Dub! FUNimation studios have an incredible range of VA's and they play their characters well.

I recommend this anime 100%, however, I do not give it a perfect score... Because there is no season 2. Other then that, I would love for any anime watchers, new or old, male or female, young child or old adult, to watch this anime- It will be a decision they will never regret!

Really good, absolutely love this one
emma52928 December 2014
Ouran High School Host Club was one my first romance animes and it was a amazing watch.

Great characters, a cute story, hilarious comedy and lovable characters.

However it is not the perfect anime, a shojo classic but no 10/10.

The shortage of episodes is really an issue with this anime. After the last episode I began reading the manga.

This anime should of got an extension, if it did definitely would get a point up to a 9. Why not 10 you probably ask? Well here's why...

Like it or not the title should really be: Haruhi's harem. Even if you like harems it does get annoying the fact that everyone adores the main character.

Listen, is a great character her cheekiness is awesome but why can't at least someone not like her?

Not in a second (at least what can recall) does any of the host club members hate Haruhi.

They ADORE her, personally I wouldn't. She has a great personality and all but she has flaws that get in the way of liking her, I mean, come on. Why does everyone love her at first glance?

You may not agree with his review which is perfectly fine. Ouran High School Host Club is great and one of my favorites.

A great shojo, a awesome English cast, good animation, and a catchy theme song.

a8454859920 January 2007
I just watched this show at 1/12 on TV. And I must say,I have never seen this powerful and very funny with a little bit comedy show! From then on,I went buy some Ouran's DVDs (Now only have 2 kinds of DVDs) and the comics to collect it. The books are also have a lot of fun. And I very like the girl who named Haruhi~She was a commoner and she had a little bit dumb and had no interest what her wearing, but she broke the Host Club's vase! And she had to work for the Host Club. But when the Host Club took her glasses off, she was so cute and so beautiful(From my opinion)!Whether her destiny will good or not?And how's the story will going? Well,if you haven't seen this show before, hurry to go see it! You will not disappoint!!

A Delightful Romp
lipnusis16 June 2023
Ouran High School Host Club is an entertaining and lighthearted anime series that offers a refreshing take on the romantic comedy genre. While it may not be perfect, it successfully captivates its audience with its unique premise and endearing characters.

One of the show's greatest strengths lies in its witty and clever humor. The comedic timing and well-written dialogue consistently bring laughter, often poking fun at the tropes and clichés found in typical romance stories. The interactions between the members of the Host Club are particularly enjoyable, with each character adding their own distinct flavor to the dynamic.

Speaking of characters, the cast of Ouran High School Host Club is undeniably charming. From the flamboyant and charismatic Tamaki to the stoic but caring Kyoya, each member of the Host Club is well-developed and offers something different to the story. The gender-bending aspect of the show adds an extra layer of humor and allows for interesting exploration of identity and societal expectations.

The animation quality is generally pleasing, with vibrant colors and fluid motion. The art style perfectly complements the whimsical atmosphere of the show, making it visually appealing and pleasant to watch. Additionally, the soundtrack does an excellent job of enhancing the mood and adding depth to the emotional moments.

However, Ouran High School Host Club does have its drawbacks. While the comedy is generally on point, there are instances where it can become repetitive or predictable, and some jokes may not land as well as intended. Additionally, the show's pacing can feel uneven at times, with certain episodes lacking significant development or feeling filler-like.

Furthermore, the central romance in the series can be frustrating for viewers seeking a more conclusive resolution. The slow-burning nature of the relationships may leave some wanting more concrete progress, and the ambiguous ending might leave fans yearning for closure.

Overall, Ouran High School Host Club is an enjoyable anime that successfully combines humor, romance, and a touch of social commentary. While it may have its flaws, it remains a delightful and entertaining series that is sure to bring a smile to your face. If you're in the mood for a light-hearted romp with memorable characters and a splash of wit, this anime is well worth a watch.

Hilarious satire about class, gender and pop-culture (mostly Japanese); but mostly, just hilarious.

What a surprise! I've just recently gotten into anime, always trying to find new and unique dimensions to this genre; had seen a few of the classics and essentials. I assumed this would not be something for me, until I watched the first episode and there I was, a 33 year old, bearded American guy, laughing his butt off at a "teen comedy". Though I don't know much (or care much) about shoujo(?), I LOVE a good satire in any medium and this, folks, is up there, at times, with the best. The themes are familiar to Americans: the "plain-Jane", rebellious type, gets dolled up; the girl masquerades a boy for some reason; the lower-class student strives to survive or "pass" amongst snobby rich peers; the fish-out-of-water scenario. But here, they are combined in a very well conceived and, at least in our cultural context, highly subversive cocktail made from all of these generic themes.

And it is quite an intoxicating and addictive cocktail. I even find myself thinking, "dear gawd, I can't tell anyone about my taboo love-affair with this show, can I?", but then I realize it is usually 5x more intelligent, well written and poignant than anything on American TV since the Simpsons of the early/mid 1990s.

Silly and knows it, which made for an entertaining show
I did enjoy this show quite a bit. The show is dumb. The show is really silly and stupid. I know that. But I feel like the show knew it was all those things. The show breaks the fourth wall a lot and when they do, they reference the type of show that they're in (reverse harem) and they reference the character archetypes that each character fulfills. That to me says they knew the show was really stupid and cliché, which is great in my opinion. I do love a certain level of self awareness when I watch these types of shows. The show is still surface level entertainment level though. You don't have to use your brain at all, which isn't a bad thing here really. It entertained me consistently, it made me laugh, and I had a fairly good time with it. I do not feel as if I wasted my time. I say watch it.

A show so overrated that I think you're all crazy.

Host Club' was entertaining at times, and uninteresting the rest of the time. I disliked this show very much. Maybe it was the 'fake-incestuous' twins, or the relationship between a 'toddler-like-boy' and a senior... something just didn't sit right with me. This show seems like it's marketed towards primary school kids. It's full of stupid stories and over-the-top characters. Popular opinion says that this is a great show, but I think it's at the bottom of the barrel in comparison to other Yaoi and Shoujo anime series.

It's about a girl named Haruhi (Maaya Sakamoto), who accidentally walks into a room full of handsome high school boys. They are the 'Host Club,' a group of boys who are in the business of escorting girls who want to be wooed and thrilled by their charm. The group is composed of: a very feminine leader, a boring manager, fake-incestuous twins, and another boring person (with his toddler-like companion named Honey). Basically, Haruhi becomes friends with them and you see all kinds of mischief they get up to.

First of all, there aren't any likable characters... not one. You never hear their thoughts (unless they're joking), which makes it impossible to connect to the characters. The thing is, none of the characters have a particularly interesting story. They're all either over-the-top and annoying, or too quiet.

The character that looked and acted like a toddler bothered me the most about this series. There is a romance story with this character that is just plain weird. This is a toddler for all intents and purposes! He's there to look cute and represent a 3 to 6 year old boy. Even though he is '17' in the show, does that make his romance any less disturbing? Honey-Senpai is literally the most annoying anime character I've ever come across. He's not cute, and the sound of his voice makes me cringe. I dreaded having to watch an episode that focused on him.

The incestuous brotherly love characters also made me feel a bit uncomfortable. It is as if someone made a fan-fiction of The Weasley Twins (Fred and George) from Harry Potter, with them being a couple. It's like there's no such thing as a 'Taboo' in Japan. Crossing the line... what line? Nothing is off limits for their animes. Minitokyo.Ouran.High.School.Host.Club.298202 After seeing top quality anime recently, Host Club was above all, unimpressive. There was nothing new or exciting. If there was a hint of originality or heart put into the story-lines and characters then perhaps the show would have won me over. For now, it's just another forgettable show.

P.s. I rated this show 1 Star, because its rating is way too high on this site. Personally, I would give it about 3 Stars out of 10.

Only 26 Episodes?!!!??

Only 26 Episodes?!!!??

The short run this series has is quite aggravating because within the first 10min you are immediately hooked in and before you know it, its gone forever.

The way the different characters' story lines and backgrounds slowly emerge themselves isn't too quick or too slow so it plays out in a perfect manner.

The characters are all so unique and lovable that you begin to get connected with them and feel with them when something either heart-warming or heart-breaking happens.

All in all this is the best Comedy-Romance show i've ever watched and i reaaaalllllyy hope that at some point they continue it.
