There's something at the bottom of the tower, Christopher Lee, would know all about its power, the opposite of paradise, you will pay a hefty Vincent Price, you've lost the plot, when Salem's Lot, comes to devour.

They don't come much better.

The Doctor and Romana are imprisoned by The Lords, who are excited to hear news of their leader.

How on Earth did they get away with this? The content is dark, macabre, and worthy of any horror title. It's brilliant from start to finish, but the moment where The Doctor and Romana make the grim discovery of the feeding system, I bet Mary Whitehouse had forty fits.

5.3 million tuned in, the fans at the time had no idea what they were missing out on.

I love the entire cast, but Rachel Davies i find absolutely captivating as Camilla, her intensity and blood lust are fabulous, the way in which her and her William Lyndsay so everything in sync is marvellous.

Brilliant. 10/10
