The nebula has a core that's full of caves, there are troglodytes that work and earn a wage, controlled by men who hate, who like to fumigate, it's not the kind of job you'd really crave (and it won't make your heart sing neither).

Sadly a visit to the Post Office is more interesting

The Ship is getting buried deeper and deeper, they have also picked
up a signal from the P7E, a new planet.
It's quite an ambitious story, I'll give it that. Some of the special effects work quite well, the guards lasers look fairly effective, the CSO works convincingly in some places, but at times it looks simply awful.
The opener is rather interesting, lots of story. Part 2 is extremely dull, it's 20 minutes of walking around, and gas. That's it. 4/10

Dated, directionless and dull

Decades aside, I imagine it was dull at the time. I don't remember it at all and like the rest of us, I was a major Baker fan. Underworld? More like Underwhelmed. No wonder it was never put to Dvd, until the recent all Season releases.
The CSO is terrible and its relied on far too much. Granted scenes in multiple caves and tunnels would have been expensive to film however it was done to better effect in previous shows like the Pelodon series some basic sets. So some poor choices were made the production of this particular program. Would better effects have made much difference in the end? Probably not. The direction is plodding. The entire show other than the first episode is slow and it's ultimately boring.
Louise Jameson does her best but even Tom Baker seems bored. A real low point for the Leela era.
