Good ... Refreshing Movie
rajkumar-govindan12 July 2010
To say truth, I watch this movie whenever i want to make myself feel good.... because we can forget about everything while watching this movie... just watch it

I like this movie because 1. small-small innocent fighting, Mis-understanding between lead pair... 2. Almost full movie is captured in natural light... to get the feel of real incidents.... 3. Dialog - utilized with almost care... since each character has to express their intentions within given short period of time except lead pair 4. Characterization - Lot of small (important) characters which is actually acted as nerve to the storyline(Even though Simple love and Romantic story) 5. Music - Yuvan's Music is excellent .. i love all three songs in second half.

Just Watch the movie... You will enjoy it....

Dynamic friendship-love triangle sort-of family drama
naveensankaran1816 November 2020
A movie released approx. 15 years before..I am not sure why I haven't watched it till now..Such a dynamic friendship-love triangle sort-of family drama was handled elegantly, which you might find in a "Mani Ratnam" universe. The interactions between Laila and Prasanna were so genuine and honest, that it felt so personal.

The plot is sort of walking on a thin sword - konjam appadi ippadi pisiru adichcha, romba sodhappidum. But the director Priya handled it quite well on her debut! The freshness provided Prasanna and Yuvan Shankar Raja on and off the screen respectively, were a delight on its own. Devadarshini apdiyea saaptutaanga pa ❤ Brilliant actor! This movie is now officially in my re-watch list

Excellent tale

Mani Ratnam is one of the legendary directors in Tamil Cinema. This movie was directed by one of his assistant directors - Priya.

Its a smooth story on how love blooms between Ramya and Krishna because of circumstances, and who ends up marrying Ramya.

right from the intro, showing the childhood fights to the everlasting war between Krishna & Ramya, everything is so beautiful. it made me yearn for that kind of relationship.

The fights between them gradually decrease the distance between themselves, and they find themselves in love.

My rating -9/10

2 songs are beautiful. song locations are awesome. This is a pure love tale with no violence. enjoy it with all your heart.

Note to volnine

the genre of this movie is comedy/Romance. u cant expect action/violence to make it interesting for u.Don't spoil the movies rating with crap cursing.

Awesome movie

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the best movie i have ever seen. I think the previous user is fond of the movies with TATA SUMOs & Rowdies. you better review the masala movies...

This is the most decent movie so far after Maniratnam movies. We miss a lot of movies like this...because of the domination of the masala movies... Thanks to Priya (director) and Prakash Raj. Make more movies like this.. There is separate set of viewers who are ready to watch your movies in theatre..

Excellent work by Laila & Prasanna. Good sense of humour and romance. The movie is so practical and it reflects the life of most of the youngsters today.

Amazing movie

I watched this movie in 2017 again and still loved it. The way love and friendship blooms between Prasanna and Laila is so innocent, sweet and genuine. The story is simple and cute, and flows really well. I really love Prasanna here, despite the fact that he looks like a bear.

Yuck. How do I un-see this?
volnine8 July 2006
I'm still cursing myself for watching this piece of crap that is disgustingly pathetic beyond linguistic capabilities. Never before did I ever want to walk out of the cinema. Unfortunately there wasn't much else to watch at the time. This junk actually got great reviews in the papers but now I'm wiser to their BS.

Story = -20/10 Acting = -14/10 Screenplay = 0/10 Dialog = -12/10 Cinematography = -6/10 Direction = 0/10

This has to be one of the worst films I've ever had the misfortune of dragging myself into. Let me save you by saying "Do not watch this crap" at any cost.
