The Insanity Skatepark location was originally Vans Skatepark, which closed before a lot of the footage could have been finished. Third Coast Skatepark was later used, and closed after we had enough footage for only one of the demos in the movie. The line Todd says of "remodeling" was added so we could mix both parts of the footage and still have continuity for the second Insanity demo. Humble Skatepark was re-painted towards the end of filming and we had to redo a lot of the skating so continuity wouldn't be blown. The crew learned a year later that Humble repainted the park as a tribute to one of their volunteers who had died in a motorcycle accident four days after one of the shoots.
The original ending of the movie was the second demo at Insanity Skate Park. It was later determined the movie didn't have enough skating, so it was made into a broadcast with Ernie to have skateboarding at the end, and the Stage Dive and love story were elongated to increase the skating scenes to seven.
Todd Falcon's slam at Houston's EZ-7 cracked his rib, but he continued skating to finish the movie.
Todd Falcon's audio had to be replaced on his scene with Gerald Sanchez. A cold front moved in and hail started hitting the roof they were under midway through shooting the scene. The storm can be heard during a blooper where Gerald almost hits Todd in the face with the cordless mic.
