Wondering which Disney Channel Original Movies have made it onto the Disney+ platform? We've got you covered.
Zoom, zoom, zoom. Make my heart go boom boom. Disney+ is here.
Much of the focus around the launch of Disney's new streaming service platform has been on its flashiest of assets—your Star Wars and your Marvel movies and TV shows. But Disney is a massive media conglomerate with more assets in one of its mouse ears than most media companies have in their whole being. Yes, we're talking about Disney Channel Original Movies (affectionately known as Dcom).
You've got your Zenon (Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, Zenon: The Zequel, and Zenon: Z3). You've got your High School Musical (the original, High School Musical 2, and Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure). You've got your Luck of the Irish. If you are an older millennial or anyone who enjoys earnest,...

Every month, Netflix goes through its catalog and purges a few titles, but I have to say, next month is going to hit me especially hard. In May, the streaming service is getting rid of a ton of my favorite Disney Channel original movies. The Cheetah Girls franchise? Gone. The Camp Rock movies? No more. Even underrated hits like Jump In! and Read It and Weep are being scrubbed from Netflix. The only solace I have is that High School Musical 3 - arguably the best HSM movie - will be available soon. Get ready to say goodbye to your childhood as these Disney movies (and many more classics) disappear from your queue forever.

Before you spend Memorial Day weekend binging on every single Disney Channel Original Movie ever created (yes, all of them – from Don't Look Under the Bed to The Cheetah Girls), refresh your Dcom memory with these fun facts.
1. Zac Efron didn't sing in the original High School Musical.
Back in 2006, you may have thought you fallen in love with Efron's vocals in "Breaking Free" and "Start of Something New", but it turns out, it wasn't actually Efron you were falling for. Once a Cheetah Girl, always a Cheetah Girl! Almost nine years after they last shared the screen in Disney's The Cheetah Girls 2, Raven-Symone and Adrienne Bailon reunited at Bailon's new gig on The Real. The former That's So Raven actress, 29, paid a visit to the Fox talk show this week for an episode airing Monday, March 9. While there, she got her girl power on with a "Cheetah-licious" dance battle against Tamar Braxton and fellow former teen star Tamera Mowry-Housley. Symone -- now appearing on Empire [...]...

Does the world really need a "Dirty Dancing" remake? No, it does not. Still, some incompetent wannabe creative mind at Lionsgate thought it would be a fabulous idea, and believe it or not, the studio is moving forward with a reboot. Why, oh why?
Either way, musical man Kenny Ortega is set to direct the remake, which follows a chick falling for her dancing teacher. Apparently, the new film will "incorporate classic songs from the 1960s, hits from the original film and brand new compositions." Again, what's the point here?
Ortega most recently helmed "This is It," but he's also got the "High School Musical" flicks under his belt. Oh, and "The Cheetah Girls 2" as well. As it so happens, he was also the choreographer on the original film, which further explains why he got the gig.

Disney's 'Cheetah' leaves all Friday programs in dust
The Cheetah Girls 2 is off and running at Disney Channel, where the original movie amassed 7.8 million total viewers Friday -- more than any program on TV that day. Cheetah even blazed past the debut of Disney's High School Musical, the pop-culture phenomenon that drew 7.7 million in January. While it's the highest-rated original movie on the network in total viewers, it fell short of breaking the mark in the key demos of kids 6-11 and 9-14, where the 2002 film Cadet Kelly still rules.
