Another episode showing how men are incompetent.

This is just another example of how the writers made the guys look like idiots. Ruben trying to light the end of the log with a lighter? Come on! Didn't he say he was in the Army? How come he didn't know how to make a fire? Poor writing. AGAIN! There are others!

Cabin fever

"Swiss Family Partridge" finds the family taking a well earned vacation in the mountains near Lake Tahoe, in a remote cabin lacking both heat or electricity. Once a rainstorm of monsoon-like proportions sets in, predicted to last several days, boredom rears its ugly head, the prognosis bad enough for deep thoughts about doom and gloom. The generators on the bus offer a glimmer of hope and a call for help. Reuben gets the best line as everybody rations out the food, referring to Chris and Tracy: "how important are they to the act?" The featured song is "It Means I'm in Love with You," composed by Tony Romeo and Ralph Landis, from the forthcoming LP CROSSWORD PUZZLE (later heard in "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex...But Couldn't Pronounce").
