Ok episode but takes time to setup

Warning: Spoilers
This episodes idea is great. Having Homer become the owner of the powerplant is extremely hilarious. But the episode takes so much time to setup it's story. It begins with the valentine's day stuff and then transitions into success class and later into the powerplant. The problem is that these are all different plot ideas. They take so much time to reach the main story. This is a problem that is generally noticeable in season 13 and 14. It is an extremely funny episode. But the story isn't taken seriously. It feels like a group of disjointed plots

Fun Episode with a Clever Set Up,

C.E. D'oh is a great Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes. Its certainly not the finest episode of the mostly great fourteenth season, but it's definitely not the worst either.I loved the premise of Homer taking over the Nuclear Power Plant and am surprised they haven't touched on this subject sooner,it's was very fun to see and also at the beginning, seeing Homer being surprisingly smart to trick Mr. Burns in to making him CEO,was very clever and enjoyable, and seeing Burns live a life without his precious Power Plant was hilarious. Not the finest episode of season 14,but definitely not the weakest either,C.E. D'oh is a very enjoyable Simpsons episode.

After gaining serious interest in becoming the head of the company,Homer manages to trick Mr. Burns in to making him the new owner of the Nuclear Power Plant.

Average fun

Homer becomes head of the plant, in an episode that runs out of steam towards the end, with a weak end. This is a trend I've noticed in a few S14 episodes.

It's still a good episode though, with some nice moments, mostly courtesy of Homer.

All good so far until one quote which ruined this episode
10086cn5 April 2021
This episode was good so far, it was all fun and games and whatnot... until one quote at the ending, when Bart says "You see, this is the stuff Mom won't do with me." That ruined the episode (and ruined my views on Bart as a whole) and knocked a whopping 9 stars off my rating of this episode. What Bart said there is just simply wrong in so many ways. I am desperate to find a way to dispute that quote, as it's just simply not true and the proof that it's not true can be found in some other episodes, most notably Tennis the Menace.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. This does not even deserve 1 star! Half a star, maybe? Either way, Bart saying "You see, this is the stuff Mom won't do with me" really, I guess you could say, "grinded my gears".
