There's a whole lot of stuff going on, there's the actual macabre case of Baby Tom, the story has a tragic inevitability, there's Alison's trouble with her mother, and of course Robert's illness, I know it's relatively early on in the series, but it almost feels like the beginning of the end.
Two of The Brightest and best with Aidan McArdle and Zoe Telford, two actors I have adored since they began, they are both excellent as the feuding couple.
