Murray Follows His Arrow
Hitchcoc28 February 2017
When the new station owner is flexing his new found muscles, making arbitrary demands on his staff, Murray has had enough. He calls him up one night and call him a Neanderthal and gets himself fired. He maintains his integrity and stays away, rather than crawling back. There is a particularly funny bit where everyone comes to Murray's house. They decide to form a walkout. Ted is hilarious. When the united front gets ready to slay the dragon, we are treated to one last hilarious second. Funny episode.

How dare he

Murray leaves an angry phone message for the new station owner who has changed the news format and cuts shows to fit in more ads. Murray won't back down, risking his job. The station regulars rally around him.

Very funny episode with some fairly high stakes incidents.

"...Steady as she goes,Captain Stubing.."

Warning: Spoilers
A new guy buys the TV station and to hear the news crew tell it the new owner is running roughshod over the whole crew! This is all being done by way of memos and phone calls,as the new owner has yet to show his face.

The memos from the new owner are asking the news crew to make all sorts of seemingly arbitrary and counter-productive changes to the news crew's tried-and-true format that they had developed and adjusted over many years.

Murray Slaughter, played by Gavin McCleod, leads the charge in pushing back against this new boss and his ill-advised ideas. (McCleod was later 'Captain Stubing' for many good years on 'The Love Boat') Our man Murray gets the idea to send this new owner/bossman a rude phone message (drunk dial ?) complaining about all the needless changes etc demanded in the memos. The stage is set for a 'showcase showdown' between Murray and the new station owner.

What will happen?

You gotta watch and see for yourself,I don't want to spoil the WHOLE dog-gone show ! 🤡
