Holling's uncle dies at the age of 110. He is dropped into a fit of depression. He goes into the woods with all the potatoes and makes moonshine. He is joined there by Chris for a while and late Fleischman. Joel spends most of the episode decrying the fact that he is the only Jew in an entire Alaskan county. While this is going on, a man delivers duck flutes to Ruth Anne which he carves himself. Ed, who is making another movie, decides to film this man. This episode has to do with what we leave behind and how some people are not replaceable. They become extinct. What can we do about it? It's a touching, philosophical episode. I hope there can be an end to Holling's sadness because that plot element is becoming a bit overused.
