This was the best episode of VM Season 2, a PERFECT finale.

Warning: Spoilers
I loved this episode, it was totally unexpected that Cassidy was the one behind the bus crash. No one would have thought it would have been Cassidy "Beaver" that did this. The sad thing is that Kyle Gallner won't be on Veronica Mars anymore. He did such a great job as Cassidy Casablancas. We never really find out what happened to Duncan, Teddy Dunn got booted from Season 3 as well :( Other than this episode, the whole season that built up to this moment was great too, the Curly Moran thing, and then dating back to Shelley Pomroy's party back in Season 1. Most shows don't do that so that was great. Also a great way for her to start Hearst College, even if it's without my favorite Beaver there. Great season!!

Warning: Spoilers
I love Veronica Mars too...In England season 2 has just finished being aired and i'm so upset. I think Logan and Veronica are also meant for each other...I think Duncan is really ugly but Logan is fit! I can't believe it was, who it was that blew up the bus so unexpected! He's such a disgusting guy. I can't believe what else he did. If your wondering what i'm talking about then thats good. Veronica Mars always has you guessing and wondering it's great. I do feel sorry for Weevil though, I don't think he's as hard as he thinks he is...he's a big softy. I really want the third series to come on now. I love Veronica Mars. I only started to watch this about 10 episodes before the end of series 2 but i am hooked for life now. Watch it!

Veronica Mars is the best show in the world!
Kittenpurple30 August 2006
I love Veronica Mars so much! It is the most addicting show ever! The last episode of the 2nd season made me so happy! Veronica and Logan are meant to be together! and now they are! I think i would rather just watch Veronica Mars all day then do any thing else! Duncan keeps getting in the way. And its so annoying! Duncan's a weird-o. But any ways. I'm so obsessed with veronica mars i try every web. site to see whats going to happen next! My advice to you. If you like shows that have a great mystery, a good love story, and is very addicting watch veronica mars. its so GOOD! i always buy the DVD so my family and i watch 3-5 episodes a night! But I'm so addicted I'm just gonna watch the 3rd season on TV! Watch Veronica Mars if you don't already!

The Butler Did It.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a jaw dropper episode. It was pretty much up there with the Elevator episode from LA Law as a well held surprise. And it wasn't shocking that UPN couldn't get casual viewers to the tube to watch it.

UPN was that bad of a network.

It wasn't the reveal of the Bus terrorist that garnered my high rating. It was that and the sub stories: Veronika's "What If" Dream. Jackie Cook's conversion to a great character, and her determination to not give that up. Vinnie Van Lowe's and Keith Mars' partnership. Principal Clemmon's final conversation with Veronica. And Weevil's "march" to graduation. All these scenes were something to remember.

The culprit's reveal, however, was well underplayed - straight out of an Agatha Christie pulp novel. As they watch the reveal, the viewer will only wonder why they didn't catch on sooner.

HIPAA
ploogz-249-38221528 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
By far the worst writing I've ever seen. Ladies and gentleman look up HIPAA. 1. How did the defense even obtain Veronica 's medical records? Simple, they couldn't, not without a court order. 2. So if they didn't have a court order the Defense would have faced serious repercussions as well as the judge that on a whim allowed it after the Prosecution gave objection. Bottom line they (defense and judge) are looking at the least a suspension and more than likely being disbarred. I get it it's a TV show, but at the very least be 95% factual, not just throwing up crap.

My second issue; no one, NO ONE, has chlamydia for 2 years WITHOUT having symptoms. Seriously do writers even do research? I mean they have college degrees, right. Glad to see our education system is top notch, but hey, at least "no one gets left behind" and the Obama plan works for everyone....

I would have loved this episode if I was a total moron
interestingstuff21 September 2022
I would have loved this episode if I was a total moron but the problem is I am not a total moron so I ended up hating it. How does this absolute moronic nonsense get a 8.9 rating?

For 22 episodes Veronica and her dad are trying to solve the crime of who blew up a bus and every episode they blame a different person. Each time they are so sure that they got the guy and each time they are 100% sure.

At the end they come up with the most moronic explanation out of nowhere which not only doesn't make any sense but also doesn't fit the narrative they told at all and doesn't fit any of the evidence they've showed in 22 episodes at all, yet people love it because who cares about common sense and logic? All of a sudden they decide who the killer is, push an extremely rushed narrative that doesn't fit anything just to force it down people's throats to appear smart while appearing nothing but idiotic.

I understand they wanted to have a "plot twist" to keep things interesting but this wasn't a plot twist. This was just a moronic effort that made literally as much sense as a looney tunes cartoon. We are made to believe that a 16 year old kid made the most incredibly complicated plan ever and executed everything absolutely flawlessly and he would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for Veronica Mars' godlike imagination where she simply has a "vision" in her head and solves everything without needing any evidence.

Sometimes I wish I was an idiot so I could enjoy moronic stuff like this but too bad I am not.

Another Point of View
ttapola6 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, all the comments are from users who rate this episode a full 10 stars. Yet the User rating is only 6.6 - I wonder why? Could it be that the praise-heavers are blind to the massive flaws in this episode (and the series in general). I watched the whole season to give the show a chance since a friend of mine is a fan (and yes, she is a woman and I am a man, but that doesn't affect my opinion). Veronica Mars has been so average that it is a miracle it lasted three seasons. Not a single episode has stood out with original ideas, just something we've seen somewhere else before. The season finale has so many clichés in it that I can't even bother waste my time listing all of them, but here's a few: 1) Veronica's dad dies in a plane explosion - EXCEPT THAT HE WASN'T ON THE PLANE, he just got out without us, the viewers, ever seeing it! 2) Veronica gets the gun an seems prepared to kill the guy who (as far as she knows) killed her dad AND raped her way back in the past. Then comes the Voice of Reason Guy and gives us DON'T DO IT SPEECH: "Give me the gun, Veronica. You are not a killer, Veronica. Give me the gun. You are not a killer, Veronica. Give me the gun." It's like he's a vinyl record stuck on a repeating loop. 3) Worst of all, Veronica and Beaver have a THREE minute long dialogue where all the twists and turns of the whole bus accident and it's aftermath are explained, with flashbacks, just so that even the dumbest or most casual viewer knows what happened. If one has bothered to watch the whole season or is just a casual viewer, one does not need this arduous scene and if one has not understood what one has watched during the whole season, one would probably have been watching something less challenging. Are the writers underestimating their target audience or are they just lazy and outright bad?
